Everything that happens at ahmek is life changing and so many important skills are built during a summer there. The camp is traditional but this is what makes the camp what it is. Ive seen other bad reveiws about ahmek but its probably becuase the camp did not fit them. Ive been at ahmek for 5 years and it is probably the only thing I would waste my summer for.

Could not agree more with other reviewer. My son has been thre for several years, has completed a 42 day and 50 day trip, and comes back each summer ecstatic and mature. This year he returned and added additional courses to his work load because one of his counselors inspired him to aim high.

Ahmek is an amazing camp that will influence your son for a life time. My son returns each year more mature and independent. They offer what all young boys need...a chance to unplug and get in touch with nature and themselves. I highly recommend Ahmek if you are looking for an authentic camp experience.
