My son attended this camp for three weeks July 2010, two weeks too long. WAAC is a neighborthod swim and court sports facility with a definite focus on swimming. They offer camp sessions with attractive names like "Arts and Games", "Just for Fun", "Olympics" but they really are all the same progams; do something (tennis, art), then go play in the pools. The place and staff lacks polish. You get the feeling that they are only ten less campers away from not making their mortgage payment. There is stuff strewn all about and they need to clean up the grounds to make it look worth the $300 a week a full day program costs. The camp staff is young, 15-17, and not well trained to engage the children especially the younger ones. My favorite quote on arrival at the beginning of week three, "Gee, you're back again Billy?. Your kid gets baked in the Texas sun all day since there are no indoor facilities.
