Camp claims 9:1 ratio but groups were 10 or 12 to 1. Camp claims “elite professional coaching” but 3 of 10 group coaches were 15-16 yr old high school players who seemed to be nice kids but didn’t have the depth of experience needed to coach well. My son spent the majority of his time under the direction of a 16-year old. In my son’s group, one player received 1:1 instruction while others in the group were left to work the drills on their own. Camp claims SCU coaching but few staff were from SCU. Warm up and skill drills were pretty good but scrimmages were disorganized and chaotic, I observed a 20 to 1 ratio; did not use real field or even lay out bases (gloves, bucket lids used). Hot shot/aggressive kids in my son’s group were not well managed. Impressive setting but all time was spent on the outfield turf; the infield was off limits. Might as well have used the park down the street.
