Very reasonably priced and very well staffed, an excellent camp for campers of most ages. The NC 4-H Program knows how to run a great camp, and at a resonable price. I have attended as a camper and as a volunteer and my son has attended this camp.

This camp is completely unable to accommodate urban children of color! I heard in detail from the cooperative extension agents and our group of children how utterly incapable and **** the staff of this camp was. Things all the children were doing were often pinned on our children. The counsellors, instead of diffusing conflict, aggravated it by being impatient and continuously angry with our children. The other children often antagonized our children and when informed, the manager said that those children had been attending camp for x-amount of years and she believed they would do no such thing. She said she didn't want to ruin the experience for other children whose parents had paid $500/600 dollars. Excuse me, our children did not go for free or even at a discounted rate. The director of my county's cooperative extension will be writing letters to the governing universities and all 4H affiliates informing them of this camp's failure to uphold the values and philosophies of 4H.
