Camp Rock had an administration change recently. Starting at the administration level, the staff at this camp act like they generally don't like children. There were a few exceptions. Some bordered on child abuse. Our boys said many of the instructors for their merit badge classes were meaner than their teachers at school. The boys complained of small food portions and poor food quality. The adults from our troop observed many unenthusiastic camp counselors and lots of disorganization. The counselors put on a good "act" with lots of enthusiasm on Family Day (Friday). Find another camp unless they turn this reform school experience around.

An amazing camp! I went there with my troop for the first time in 6 years and I absolutely loved the experience! They had so much to offer and even had new programs for my older scouts (Mountain Man, Extreme Aq., Cope, and an amazing program called Spec Ops). We chose Camp Rock after seeing the video and arrived greeted by enthusiastic camp staff and some caring admin staff; Allan, James, and Kyle. Kyle had a lot of thorough and fun program set up for our scouts and all the staff made sure our scouts were treated like they were old friends. There is so much positive things I could say about this camp AND NO NEGATIVE! Boys loved it, our leaders lived it... so we reserved for the next summer after this one. See you next year!

Greatest Camp in the Southern Region! The Staff is always having fun while maintaining an excellent, quality program! The facilities are extraordinary. Flush toilets, huge airconditioned Dining Hall, permanent tent pads, frames, and tarps in all campsites! An olympic size swimming pool; some camps don't even have a pool!! Great programs for first year scouts, young scouts, older scouts, and scout leaders!! Summer 2011, they are offering a venturing week, mixed in with their normal summer camp schedule! A great location, great peice of property, great facilities, great staff, great camp!!!! A+++. Wouldn't think of going any where else after my experiences at Camp Rockefeller, located on the beautiful GUS BLASS Scout Reservation, nestled in the super awesome foothills of the Ozarks!!! Once again 5 for 5 overall, two thumbs up!!!!
