My daughter was excited to attend. What a mistake, the orientation they give you is very misleading. They tell you your child has choices to pick things and they lied to us. We have asked for a refund, again stalling to give us one....Stay away from this place..shady

Great Times is a family business. They do care what happens to your kids. The activities are outdoor camp type stuff. Not fancy but the staff care about the kids. They have added new stuff and worth a visit to try it out!

Great Traditional camp experience for children of all ages... my sons loved every second of it. They got to meet new friends and stay active all summer long.

Such a great camp. I have sent both my kids there for three years now and they cannot wait to go back this year! I also enjoy the peace of mind that the counselors are state certified teachers. It has been a great experience for our family, as well as our friends.

My children absolutely LOVE this camp! Everyday during the school year all I hear about is how they can't wait for the summer to go back to camp! This family run camp has great staff and so many fun activities for the kids. I highly recommend it!

My sons 4 and 9 have been here and really look forward to returning every summer. The staff are certified teachers which make it easy for me to trust they are being taken care of. I don't allow my kids to bring their gaming systems to camp and encourage they to try new activities and meet new people every week. I am in contact with the staff and believe they are doing a good job.

My experience at great times day camp was a great one. Years later, I still talk about it and honestly feel the time spent there was the best years of my life. The staff was great, never saw them on their phones. There's a vast amount of different actives you can choose from weekly and there is always a field trip once a week that was always fun. The only bad thing I remember is my driver was always late picking me up so I would actually get to camp late. But once my mom brought this to attention to the owner of the camp, we were given two weeks of money back. This was a generous thing of them to do, especially since my mom didn't ask for compensation. If you're considering sending your kids here, I would 100% recommend you do so. They will have a great summer at Great Times Day Camp.

My children attended last summer, and I used the early drop off and stay later option. I am really sorry I signed up for this camp, as it turned my kids off to camp forever and I had to really talk them into the new camp they are going to. I was told that before and after camp there would be activities for my kids to do while they waited for the buses. NOT TRUE. Your kids just sit in a gazebo the entire time waiting for the buses to get there. So for my kids, it was like 2 hours in the AM and an hour in the afternoon. The lake is gross. And all my kids did were the same sports over and over again. The one week they were there was "color wars" and they said it was awful. Just standing around waiting for your turn in the "relay" races. And picking activities? Forget it. And the staff were all on their cell phones the whole time. I can't say much else about the staff since I didn't get to meet any of them. Luckily, my kids only had to bear it for 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, the poor reviews here are true. This camp is not what it once was. The facility is not maintained as it should be, and there are too many safety issues to mention. The staff is good, but most of their efforts go unnoticed and unappreciated; as a result morale is low.

Sure the facility is good. Mike may pay you some attention - if he likes you. Lately he has gotten away from the attention and found creative ways to not hire the necessary staff - and some of the staff that he does hire ignore the kids and spend their day on the phone or simply drop them at the activity and not pay attention. Instead of re-investing the money in the camp (such as in painting the buildings or adding new activities), he has been adding nothing back. I think he would be better served by making sure of what goes on in the camp overall.

After years of experience with this camp I feel the need to clarify a lot of these ridiculous reviews! The staff at camp is great! If you ever were to experience an issue, Mike, the camps owner would take care of it in a heart-beat for you! He is wonderful to work for and with! Staff-camper ratio depends on age. The younger kids have from 4 to 6, maybe 7, staff with their group at all times and the older campers have from 2 or 3 up to 6 staff with them. There are CITs, junior staff, counselors, specialty counselors, and aides everywhere! In addition to our director, and assistant director who are available at al moments notice. There are all kinds of activities for kids to tale part in including once-a-week overnighters where they travel to phillies games and the ocean city boardwalk. And once kids hit about 10, they get to choose how they want to spend their days. GTDC works with special needs students and any necessary accommodations! Patents your kids are missing out if not at GTDC!

I was a camper, then a counselor for several years. Be extremely careful if you intend to send your child here. Ask about camper to counselor ratios: they are appalling. I found most of the other staff members to be completely unprofessional and uninterested in their work. I'm glad I left.

Overall probably the worst camp i've ever attended. The Campers are mostly disrespectful and the staff chooses to do nothing to adress any sort of behavior. And, unless you like sports, the activities are very limited to just that. And at 40 dollars a day, absoulutley not worth it. In all, i truly hope I never have to attend this camp EVER AGAIN

i went 2 this camp for 7 years. its ok i guess. i met a lot of new friends and most of the counselors are great. i think its better when you're a cit, but u have 2 go 2 the camp at least one year before you can be a cit.

Bad experience: My son fell asleep in the bus on the way home and driver didn't notice. Luckily, my son awoke as driver was on his way back to depot. I dread thinking of what would have happened had he awoke after driver parked the bus for the night.

When I went, I wasn't too fond of the day camp idea and I made it known. This camp was not very friendly and I matbe made one friend who I never talked to again. Not fun here.
