i attended this campp for 1 year and would refuse to never go back..i didnt like the staff or activites. the consulers intimidated me!..i just flat out did not have a good experiencee with the camp.1-5 i say the camp was a 1/2 of a point.

This camp provides summer fun for my children and they love it. Adam, Cindy, Laura, and Joy are extremely friendly and I felt that they truly cared about every child at Hickory Hill, calling them by their names and having conerstions with them. My children love this camp and their councelers every year. As for the price, it is worth the money. Over all: great camp.

i love ths camp i've benn going since i was three and i am now almost 12 camp was so much fun the counclers were the best i loved going swimming and all the trips were fun i loved the camp talent show at the end and the carniva the last day was always so sad all of my friends dont live in plainview like me they all live in bethpage or some other place some even lived in brooklyn weird i love this camp Hickory Hill ROX YEAH

THE PROS: Cindy is very nice & is a great asset to this camp. Management does try hard to be flexible for families. The little, little ones have a decent time here.THE CONS: Counselors are SOOOOOO young and the group leaders are not much older. There needs to be more of an "adult presence" at this camp. On day one, the counselors seemed so disinterested & clueless, that I was a little uncomfortable leaving my child there. Spend a little more money on your staff, HH. They are your lifeblood!

Not worth the money - no areas to play sports, teenage counselors showed no motivation with kids - not worth the money! However, Cindy was great but never saw Vinny.

I have a 10 year old boy and he has over 10 friends who have attended for over 5 years and we are all pleased or we would not be coming back, attentive counselors, leaders and supervisors, and neat as a pin.

Great Camp! Both my children (daughter 5, son 9) came home happy everyday. Attentive staff, nice facilities, and plenty of activities. Excellent swim program. Highly recommended.

Overall, my children have had a great experience at Hickory Hill and I recommend the camp to to everyone. I am completely satisfied with the camp and the grounds. The staff is very cooperative and helpful to all of my children's needs.

Small camp with fairly uncreative activities. Decent for preschoolers, but would not send an elementary school kid there...and certainly not a boy, as there are no sports fields. They charge too much for what they offer.
