This is the best camp ever, I swear you will never enjoy such a memorful, life changing, fun eperience. I look foward to it all year! the best thing that happened to me. no other camp accomplishes what camp Desoto does. its SO worth the price!

I was a longtime camper as were my sisters, cousins, and mother. Words don’t do it justice. Camp is where I learned to own my faith and my walk with Christ. Forever my mountain home.

Where to even begin with Camp DeSoto? At the end of a month spent on the mountain, your daughter will come down with so much more than she ever thought possible. A month at DeSoto is a truly transforming experience. Girls build lasting relationships where they learn the value of community. They learn inclusivity. They learn how to celebrate each others’ accomplishments and successes. They learn how to navigate conflicts and form friendships with girls whom are very different from them. A month away from home is not easy, but girls learn how to work through the hardships of that. Girls grow at Camp DeSoto. Girls also have fun at Camp DeSoto. They learn all sorts of new skills in their activities that they will be overjoyed to show you when they come home. They form allegiances to their tribes and participate in fun and healthy competition. They sing, and they laugh, and they dance all of the time. They immerse themselves in camp life and all of the traditions a camp as old as DeSoto has

There is no other word for Camp Desoto then life-changing. Camp Desoto is literally one of the best experiences of my life and it has left memories that will last forever. Not only is it incredibly fun, but it is spiritually growing. I have never felt closer to God then at Camp Desoto. You are constantly surrounded by amazing Christian girls who become your best friends. Camp Desoto has given me my best friends who I would not know without. Not only is it amazing spiritually it is sooo much fun. The activities are very fun as is anything tribe related. The counselors are awesome Christian girls who are truly amazing role models. This year I will go back for my last year as a camper. CDhas changed my life and I recommend it to anyone. It has formed me into the person I am today. When I was younger I saw the older girls and counselors and they were always awesome role models and have shown me that i don't have to be like everyone in the "real world". Camp desktop is such a great camp. The counselors are very warm and welcoming and they seem like big sisters. The activities are very fun and helpful. Also, the campus is so amazing. I would defiantly recommend sending your. Daughter there.

This year was my first year at desoto. It was honestly the best month of my life. When I got there, I knew no one. NO ONE. I thought it was going to be awful. But then after two days I loves my cabin and counselors. I had the best time. There isn't a place I would rather be!

I honestly thought that this camp was a huge disappointment. The facilities were not nearly what they were promised to be. As far as the staff goes, they seemed cheery to a point but the counselors seemed to pick favorites and it would make other children feel left out or unwelcome. It had a good spiritual program but that is about it. My daughters said it was not very fun and they could not wait to come home. One of my daughters has been to Ozark and she will most likely be going there again. I will not be sending my two daughters (ages 9 and 13) there again. This camp may work for others but in my opinion it is not worth the money.

There is no other camp like DeSoto. To be a DeSoto girl is the best feeling in the world. DeSoto is a top notch camp on Lookout Mountain in Mentone, AL. Girls from all over travel there to enjoy a month on the mountaintop. The activites are fun, the staff is amazing, and the counsilors are entergetic, loving, of great character, and just plain wonderful. Camp DeSoto is the best! I went to DeSoto as a camper, and so will my children!

I was a Camp DeSoto Camper,and I am so thrilled that I will FINALLY be sending my oldest daughter there next summer.There is nothing like the feeling you get on that mountaintop in Mentone,AL.It's a place where time alsmost stands still for a brief moment in life and you feel the abundance of unconditional love that flows from God to you through the DeSoto community.The memories and friends made there will last and be cherished for a lifetime.There are other wonderful camps out there that seem to offer more activities and keep you very busy, but that's what is so special about DeSoto, you can slow down,form relationships,talk,and just be yourself and learn about yourself and others while having a fun time.Trust me,rest hour is always welcome, but it's rest not from hustle and bustle of activity after activity, but a rest from a day filled with growth & adventure.I am so excited to give my three daughter's this amazing gift that I hope will be passed down from generation to generation.
