We had a very negative experience with this camp. The staff was not professional in how they spoke to our child including the captain saying “if you were my child, I would put my fist through your face.” The counselors did not allow him to call home even when he asked and made it clear all week that he was very upset. I was told by email at the end of the first week that he was doing well, yet 12 hours later, in prep for when he was going to be allowed to finally call home, I was then told he was actually home-sick and causing problems. The counselors did not effectively handle bullying and sexual harassment incidents on the boat targeted at our son, and did not help him when he asked. He slept in the rain one night when other campers and staff would not help make space for him inside the cabin. Staff had their own children and cousins on the boat and they were given special privileges and treated much better than others. We flew him home 2 weeks early.

Seatrek is a truly life changing experience. I have attended seatrek for five summers and can honestly say it is a summer program like no other. Living on a boat in one of the most beautiful places in the world, scuba diving and sleeping under the stars is dreamlike. Among marine adventure camps no other matches the family feel that seatrek provides. By the end of the trip with the incredible staff and students every boat feels like a second family. Through seatrek I have gained a sense of adventure, independence and maturity I would not have developed otherwise. Through their marine science program, I have also developed a profound understanding, curiosity, and appreciation for the marine environment. The advice I would give about seatrek? Go! I promise you it is as if not more amazing than it sounds.

I firmly believe that I would not be the same person today had I never attended this camp. Over a span of four years, Seatrek grew from a summer camp into my happy place, job and second home. My summers spent downisland have shaped me into a more diligent, grateful and strong young woman. I could not be more thankful for this institution and me fellow staff members.

SeaTrek BVI was one of the best experiences of my life. To be out on the ocean every day and to be with such amazing people from all over was absolutely amazing. Not to mention getting to scuba dive in the ocean for the first time - there's no better feeling!

SeaTrek summer have been the amazing summers of my life. I’ve only been with seatrek for 2 years (voyage 3 BVI and Bahamas Explorer) but the summers I have spent have been 2 of the most amazing summers of my life that I will remember forever. Living on a boat for three weeks in the Caribbean is as surreal, beautiful, and memorable as it seems. The memories and skills will last a lifetime and I could not be happier with my SeaTrek experience.

I absolutely love SeaTrek! It is an amazing experience on that is once in a lifetime. This camp has campers be the crew on a real boat. They tie knots, cleats, and even set sail! It is a remarkable adventure. You cook, clean, and dive every day. So buy the time they come back they will be pros and can clean the head(bathroom on a boat). I most of all enjoy the experience that the camper will have with him/her for the rest of their life. The friendship that you make in just a couple days that will last a lifetime is remarkable. I talk all the time to my friends from my voyages. It is a place to unplug from the world and figure out who you are away from your school and friends that you have grown up with. It is a chance to create the you that you want everyone to know. This can lead to amazing things in the campers future after SeaTrek!

SeaTrek is a one of a kind experience. There are several camps operating in the area with SeaTrek, but none compare to the level of one on one that they offer. My experience here was incredible, the staff really went above and beyond in their instruction of how to actually live on these boats. I would recomend SeaTrek to anyone thats ever thought about wanting to dive, sail, learn about marine biology, or do anything that involves being on the water!

My son has gone to SeaTrek BVI for 3 summers now and I can tell you it is the best gift we have ever given him. Not only does he learn amazing things but it boosts his confidence, independence and his desire to learn more. You couldn't find a better group of people to enrich your child's whole being then the SeaTrek family.

The small size of the program allows staff to give individual attention. We living on 46ft catamarans so the facilities are amazing! I was never bored and always had something fun to do

Seatrek was awesome! I learned how to sail and dive and now I also know so much about marine science. My parents liked Seatrek because I came home energized and wanting to cook the meals I learned how to cook at Seatrek. Seatrek is not just a camp to recieve various scuba diving certifications, it's a place where you learn responsibility and indendence. Being a student at Seatrek has taught me voluble life lessons along with the ability to dive!

I attended SeaTrek BVI as a student for 4 summers! Hands down the best experience of my life. All of the staff was very fun, knowledgeable, professional, safety oriented, and acted as role models for me. The diving conditions of the BVI could not have been any more perfect for me to first learn to dive and then expand my diving experience. One of my favorite activities to do while at anchor was to take part in the water sports! (tubing, knee boarding, and wake boarding). Learning to sail on the catamarans was also an awesome new skill I enjoyed learning over the years. The science program taught me so much about the environment that surrounded me while living on the water. The owners of the camp are very friendly and family oriented. SeaTrek has become my second family where I have made life long friends and have grown from the experiences provided. I would highly recommend SeaTrek BVI to anyone looking for an amazing, fun, educational, and action packed camp.

My daughter has gone to SeaTrej for the last 3 years. She will be an intern this year. She badly wanted to experience the marine life since she is thinking about being a marine biologist. I thought it was a was a little expensive but my very thrifty daughter said that it is such a first class program that she could see where the money goes. Also, Monk will help financially if its needed. I was so worried about sending her that far alone, but I think it's one of the best decisions ever. The diving and FATHOMS trip, which delves in to science aspects more, are top rate. Thank you Sea Trek.

I couldn't ask for a better camp than SeaTrek. It has been one of my most memorable memories and influential experiences. One of the reasons I keep coming back to camp is because of the staff. They are amazing people and teach you so much. I consider some of them to be close friends. The students are constanlty submerged in new experiences and learning new thing about the ocean. The ratio of students to staff members is also perfect. Students always get personal time with the staff. SeaTrek can ba a tad expensive but the directors of the camp, Monk and Kat, are amazing at helping people out financially. Camp provides kids with an amazing summer and is worth the money. Going to camp was one of the best decisions I have ever made. This summer will be my third summer going back to SeaTrek and I will be an intern. I cannot wait for the summer to come, I love SeaTrek and recommend it to everyone.

Terrible internship program, unless you want to be prepared for a factory job or learn how to be completely subservient. Inconsistent instructions and rather than teach there is yelling. This is not done in a character building way...do not let anyone tell you differently. The adults play games more common in high school like talking badly about others behind their back. Very different from regular camper experience. Under threat of being fired or not getting a good reference. Reference is not worth it especially since there is no real valuable work experience. Having to pay for this makes it even worse.

Setting is beautiful. Activities fun. Scuba instruction good. Senior staff is okay until there is a problem. They are not very good at dealing with most problems. Definitely cannot teach leadership skills as they are lacking themselves.
