Excellent 3 to 1 staff ratio. Small, co-ed, only around 100 campers, so everyone knows your child, including on opening day. It's amazing! Green River makes me safe and I know my child will be taken care of there. Mornings are spent on hikes with naturalists on 3400 wildlife preserve - includes multiple waterfalls, Indian Caves, headwaters of Green River, beautiful rock formations. No other camp in the area has this type of available resources. The camp also shares a common boundary with Dupont State Forest. Afternoons are devoted to traditional camp activities (22+ offered) such as climbing wall, canoeing, swimming, crafts, pottery, theatre, music, fly fishing, archery, Pioneer Cabin, gardening, etc. Expedition trips for high school students in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Outer Banks of NC. Camp is based on Woodcraft Laws; love, truth, beauty, fortitude. Truly a program that in rooted in youth development. Excellent!
