I was very disappointed with my camp experience. First of all, you only got 2 hours of surfing time each day. Most of that time was devoted to getting your surf boards, tying them to the van, and driving to the beach. The facilities were crumbling, overrun by mice and filthy. Although it was a rustic camp, some things were positively unhygienic. For example, on the counter with the fruit, bread, and toasters, I saw several mice running inches away from the food. This was considered normal. Though the surfing instruction was good, the counselors had no other experience in the other activities. They would say that flip flops were adequate for an excursion that required hiking boots. There were also hours of free time every day in which there was simply nothing to do. I do not recommend going the this camp. Thanks:)

This is the perfect camp for girls who aren't interested in band camp! A great active and adventurous vacation that your teen will never forget.

I went to the Maui Surfer Girls sleep away camp the summer of 2007 and 2008. I can safely say my time at camp was the best few weeks of my entire life. I went in not knowing how to surf, and now, 5 years later, have my own board and an incredible passion for the sport. All of the staff are incredible women: passionate, friendly, talented, and just all around great people. There isn't a more beautiful location to learn how to surf than Maui, and there isn't a more wonderful atmosphere to spend a few weeks of the summer than Maui Surfer Girls.

the camp became a second family for me, the surf is great and the people are even better. The environment is full of love. I have had so much fun the past 5 years i have been at MSG, the girls have become best friends and i learned to surf better than i could have ever thought6

Quite simply the best surf camp on the planet. They provide a well rounded program that empowers teen girls through surfing Maui's warm waves. Catered towards beginners, Maui Surfer Girls provides quality coaching. Great oceanfront facility, great staff, and healthy food! This is an experience of a lifetime for teen girls!
