Click to report rating    1/16/17   4     3     4     3     5   I have been there once. It was very hot. The water activities are very fun. There are only a few other things to do instead of water activities, so if it rains a lot, your stuck with arts and crafts. They only have crafts, archery, and waterfront. My experience was good, but the drinking water tasted like metal and they forced us to drink it. Finally, later that week we got gatorade to make the water taste a little better. The counselors were okay. The ones from other countries are very nice. They had good food, but it was too healthy for me. The day before we left we finally had cookies and pizza. I saw 2 snakes at camp. We did very fun all camp activities. Overall, at this camp, i would sometimes be bored or be having a lot of fun! RID: 50353
Click to report rating    8/5/16   5     5     5     5     5   I love CCT!! Sure there are a lot of stairs, and sure it's hot, but I love it there. You get used to the stairs and if it gets to hot the staff will take us indoors. I recommend this camp to any middle schoolers who enjoy water activities. I've been to camp for six amazing weeks over the past two summers and will be a CIT next summer. The camp may not have a pool, but it does have Aquia Creek. You can swim, kayak, canoe, windsurf, paddle board, sail, and water carnival! And that's just for the waterfront! On land you can do archery, make mini sailboats, have water fights, make friendship bracelets, or just chill out with new friends! CCT is an amazing camp and I can't think of anywhere else I would want to spend my summer. I <3 CCT!! RID: 49889
Click to report rating    8/14/15   5     5     5     5     5   I've been to CCT 3 times and this was my first summer there but I loved it. I went to May Flather 1 week but I like CCT a lot better. Haters gonna hate, but I absolutely love it there. RID: 49068
Click to report rating    1/8/15   5     3     3     4     3   I enjoyed CCT, but the facilities could have been kept up with better, and if you aren't a big fan of water activities don't even sign up. I feel there could have and should have been more variety. I had fun i just enjoyed Camp May Flather better. RID: 48268
Click to report rating    12/23/13   4     4     5     5     4   I've gone to Camp Coles Trip 2 times, and I plan on going a third time this summer. The first summer I went, the staff was very into us all being friends, which I didn't mind. The second time I went, last summer, I had a lot of fun. Although we did find a few wolf spiders in our tent, it was great. My one complaint is that there are a lot of stairs. But the staff does take into consideration that if its very hot, nobody will really want to go up and down the stairs. The food is amazing, and I wasn't expecting it (because my first few years of girl scout camp were at camp Winona, which is closer to a city). All the staff and counselors are very friendly. I'm not very much of a needy person, so personal attention was good, the few times I needed it. But the monetary value wasn't that great, at least for my session. I went to sail away last summer, and was disappointed that we could only sail one day because it was "too hot". RID: 46420

Click to report rating    12/27/11   5     4     5     5     5   I have been to CCT two times and I love it. There are activities everyday, and you choose at the beginning of the sessions what activities your unit wants to do. The camp does not have electricity, but there is running water. Some days you eat in a cafeteria, and others you cook over a fire. The food is ok, but there is always fresh fruit and cereal. The nurse is amazing, and will always help you out if you're feeling bad. The water sports are my favorite. This camp offers windsurfing, kyaking, and sailing. They teach you how o do everything, and no experience is needed. I have made so many friends through this camp, and the kids that go are so awesome. I love Camp Coles and highly recommend it to anyone who is interested. You won't regret it. RID: 37567
Click to report rating    7/23/11   4     5     3     3     5   I have been to cct 4 times to date and I think it is a fun place. The camp is owned by the girl scouts so the facility is not the best. The food is pretty bad and a good majority of the unit staff are nice. The camp has close to 150 stairs to get to and from the "waterfront". Truthfully it does not matter what session u sight up for because the girls in you unit will vote what they want to do throughout the week. The camp does not allow you to go home if you are homesick so be prepared. The camp is very hilly and you are lucky if you get 8 hours of sleep. Many of the girls were very ready to go home. The main problem when I went was the lack of any medical care. If you weren't feeling well the unit staff would just tell you to drink water. I got heat rash when I was at the camp and I was very itchy and in pain. All the unit staff told me to do was drink water. I rolled my eyes and she laughed and said all she could do was tell me to drink water. The camp over all was ok. RID: 36485
Click to report rating    3/1/11   4     4     5     4     5   I have been to camp coles trip a few times now and really enjoy the activities. The camp is owned and run by the Girl Scouts and is well staffed. I think the facilities could be better and the food is pretty bad but the girls have a salad bar option at every meal. The camp is by aquia creek and most campers will do swimming, windsurfing, and kyaking. Depending on what you sigh up for you may also do hiking, extreme kayacking, or overnight hiking to the year round girl scout troop camp next door. Some of the staff are a tad bit negitive and rude/mean. All the unit staff are under 25 and almost half come over from eroupe for the summmer. The European cansoulers usally do not come back for second summers. All the girls are allowed ONLY 5 minute showers which is very bad and the showers have low water presure so dont expect a relaxing tub bath. The girls scouts have 3 other camps in the area which are all larger. Try Camp Winona, Mayflather,or Patomic Wood. This camp is for girls grades 6-12 RID: 35239
