This is our second year to go to the ACU Leadership Camp.While after the first camp I did have some concerns about the counselor who watched over my son in the dorm,I decided not to voice my complaint which was,the boys(9-12yr olds)were given two minutes to take a shower.If not finished,the counselor pulled down the curtain in front of all the other boys. While I believe that the ACU has great leadership staff and a good program, I don't believe they interview or set specific rules for the counselors to go by especially the men counselors.Our problem this year was with the dorm counselor who watched over them while at their dorm.He said things in front of the campers that were inappropriate.He told them they weren't going to like their Bible lesson and that it sucked.He subjected the boys to music in his room that was not acceptable and some nights in his room to watch him play video games. I expect my child to have 100% positive role models at at a Chrisian camp, nothing less!
