This is boot camp for young basketball players. It is 4 days of intense training by college players. While they allow kids as young as 7, I suggest that 10 is the youngest age they should allow. There is not much supervision, lights out is at 11 p.m. and wake up is at 6:30 a.m. That is not enough sleep for any kid who is playing hard all day. The cabins have approx. 40 kids and 1 or 2 staff (they are not trained camp counselors, they are basketball players), so it's a free for all at night. The coaching is tough, the games are rough and while your child will emerge a better, tougher player, it probably took some tears to get there. Communication with the Phoenix Suns office who organizes the camp is terrible. You receive one info sheet when you sign up and nothing more. The camp is held at a very nice facility in the mountains of Prescott. It was $450 for 4 days.
