This camp is not as advertised. It's ok, but my son has been to much better camps. They say the kids get to choose activities, but they don't seem to ever get to it - so he's come home and complained often. Themes aren't really followed so once again kids don't get what they are expecting. It's too bad, I'd read really good reviews in the past - now it seems like they just go through the motions. If you are looking to have your kids engaged - this may not be the right camp for you. (My son is 6, nieces 7 & 9)

No bus service at the last minute, no skate camp after camp starts and is paid for. Just some examples.

Terrible Camp! Our kids had very very bad experience there! If you want to have a piece of mind while sending your kids to a camp, stay away from Big Wave!

My kids have been attending the Summer Big Wave Camp since it started. The kids have so much fun every year......they have been asking for this year enrolment already. I do agree that some of the junior staff could have done a better job in the past but this year....I hear is going to be and awesome one!!!

Loved it in 2010. Kids unhappy in 2011. Complaints about bullies (ambushes in woods), inattentive indifferent staff (a few good ones), trainees in particular being rude and mean. One child came home splashed with paint in her hair down to her socks. Counsellor-in-training splashed her once by accident, thought it was funny and did it several more times. Had better wash out! Sounds like too little supervision. Kids telling us tales of boy named Aaron picked on incessantly. Very sad after such a great time in 2010.
