For the amount that you pay for this camp (on par with Science centre and Pedalheads), it was not worth it. Disorganized, unprofessional, very little in terms of programming. Agreed that it seems like a box of Lego dumped out and overpaid babysitters. Would not recommend.

The counsellor left the entire group of children alone over 5 times throughout the 3 hour morning shift. Though other staff told her not to leave the children no supervision took place. As well this counsellor was so rude yelling at the kids. Hardly any reprimanding took place. I am not having my daughter return to a camp were she is left alone, and when she does have adult in the room, she is subjected to rude aggression. The manager did not adiquatly solve this issue.

My son loved this camp so much we had to book another week. Batman was his favorite to work with. In the mornings Miranda was always helpful and always available for emails after hours. Batman and Miranda did a great job with the younger kids and my child is still asking to go back! Hopefully March break will work!

Hello Rob. LEGO in my family is everywhere. My son loves it, talks about it, and builds with it everyday. That's why I am so glad you started a LEGO building program at our school this year at lunchtime. We met you last summer at Creative Club Camp where my son went for a week in July. We suggested you start a program at my son's school. You followed up and now my son and his friends are enjoying the lunchtime LEGO program. Now, my son and his friends are all going to Creative Club Camp this summer together. He said he can't wait to build another Jurassic Park out of LEGO like last summer. Keep up the good work. Build, Build, Build.

Rob,
My Ben is not a kid who likes camp in general, however, he LOVED Lego camp. The Councillors were great, the bus service worked out well. You made it easy for us to communicate with Lewis on the bus in case we were late (or the bus was late). I also really appreciated that you took the illness in his group so seriously. I have never seen a camp or a school communicate so well and jump so quickly into action. I also appreciated that when the kids were not busy doing Lego, that you had other fun and creative/physical activities to keep them busy. I don't know exactly what went on during the day but he came home starving, exhausted and happy which is all that I could ask for.
Thanks again for a great week of camp!

Being a camp counsellor for Creative Club for the summer of 2014 was an amazing learning experience. I started off thinking I would be the one teaching "the explorers" but I was wrong they taught me more than anything. This was a great opportunity to observe children from all different schools interact for a straight week working together and sharing their creative ideas. Each and everyday I heard " Everything is awesome" and " Everything is cool when you're a part of a team." Four weeks of LEGO CAMP, what more can I say. I can't wait until Camp 2015. - Miranda W

"My 7 year old twins went to Lego camp and are begging to go back. I initially, had some hesitation as to whether this camp would be good for my son who has Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD...it was perfect. He was able to work as part of a team and make amazing structures. And the wonderful instructors, Melissa and Gwendoline, took the kids outside and played games with them and helped them burn off some energy. I felt safe leaving my children in their care. My kids ask: "Mom, how many more sleeps til Lego camp?"

I will advise parents who want to send their kids to this camp first to read all the reviews here. They describe the camp very well – boring, limited activities, kids not well occupied, most of the time are just baby-sited by the staff. Do not book more than one week in advance if you are not sure that your child will like the camp. During the whole camp my child did not mention even once the word “Lego” at home or anything camp related. Our impression was that he is just sitting there in the room to pass the time and no one cares if he is occupied. The company doesn’t refund money if you change your mind or if the child doesn’t like the camp and doesn’t want to go. After paying the camp fee, it was very difficult for me to communicate with someone from the camp. The owner is not responding anymore after collecting the money, the staff will not respond to your calls during the day if you want to know how your child is doing.Communication stops after the payment.

Teacher can barely build and owes tons of his employees back payment. Total waste of time. Next time you book your kids in a camp ask for the teachers portfolio. This is nothing more than bad babysitting.

Applied for Lego summer camp (Kaveh Academy location in Richmond Hill) in Aug 2013 for my son. Camp was canceled without notifying me! Accidentally find out about cancellation a few days before its start date. Over two month later still haven't received refund. Numerous phone calls, emails - no effect. Owner, Rob Gray, promised to take care of refund - nothing. This company is a fraud, taking money from parents and not delivering service. Will be failing complaint to the school, York school board, will send my story to City TV - they will like to talk about company that steals money from the children.

Owner demands payment almost immediately in order for your kids to be saved a spot. could provide no camp this year and told families 24 hrs before camp was to start there would be no camp. left me and others with no camp and no one to watch our kids @ last min. now he hasn't refunded the $. paid months ago and still no refund! this guy is unprofessional , even his staff don't make excuses for him. call him re $ owed and he is always "In a meeting" . very bad customer service and so many excuses. will have to go to small claims court to get $ back

Very unsafe, I talked with one of the employees and they told me that the owner does not even check employees for their police screening in order to work with children. There is very little resources and my children were very bored. Also this is very unreliable, the workers were late a lot of times.

My sons are heading back to Lego Camp for their third year at their request. They find the camp low pressure, engaging and fun. They are reluctant to leave each day when I pick them up. They enjoy the lack of structure both with the Lego building time and the outdoor play. The staff seems to be conscientious and open to allowing the kids to set the agenda and enjoy the creative play that Lego offers.

Creative Club Inc. has run LEGO Building Camps for 3 years. 2013 is year 4. The camp content is created by the Curriculum and Camp Directors. It is from the school programs provided in 110 schools from Toronto to Newmarket. The instructors are all experienced leaders and have led school programs throughout the school year. They are trained, police checked, and fully prepared to work with kids all summer. Most of all, they are Fun! And that's what LEGO Building Camp is all about. Kids challenge themselves in imagination, creativity, problem-solving, planning, cooperation, and teamwork. Each day there is a new project or theme. Sometimes projects go multiple days. Last year, some of the kids built the Titanic out of LEGO. If you want your kids to have fun this summer for a week where they build with over 10,000 pieces of LEGO, then this is the camp for them. Looking to have fun this summer? Come to Creative Club Inc.' LEGO Building & Creative Camp!

My daughter attended this camp for one week and had an enjoyable experience. My daughter was nervous to attend but the staff gave her extra attention to help her interact with the other children. The framework to encourage the children to work as a team and to have fun was a positive experience for my daughter. I would recommend this camp for kids who enjoy Lego.

I agree with the above. The camp was not structured, just bins of lego. Kids were not motivated or guided in any way. My kid 's favourite time was the outdoor hiking time they had to a conservation area - 2hrs at a time. We didn't even know they would be taking them off property. Would not recommend.

This "Lego Camp" was terrible. My son had been looking forward to it all summer and was incredibly disappointed. A few small buckets of Lego, one young staff member and 10 children in a stuffy gross room with no a/c, and not even an open window. The owner promised my refund and has since ignored my calls. Please do not send your child to this camp!!!

This is not even considered a camp. It is a HUGE SCAM. The owner promises a lego camp but will just cash your cheque and stick your children in a room with one counsellor with hardly any lego at all. There is no structure/ no lego themes. The children have a free-for-all until they're picked up. **totally False Advertisement.** The owner should be charged with fraud! I have just pulled my child out of his so called camp...thank goodness...after one day of mayhem! Rob the owner, provided an unsafe, unhealthy, negative environment for 10 children and then blamed everything and everybody else about it. Now I'm waiting for my money back!!! If you are reading this review/rating, PLEASE DO NOT place your child in the care of ROB GRAY at CREATIVE CLUB INC - LEGO CAMP.

I worked as staff at a lego camp by this company last summer 2011. It was a disaster. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS THERE. I was alone with far to many kids, unsafe, boring for the kids and the owner is dishonest. i did not get paied for several months. Some of my co-workers never got paied at all.

Very disappointing, kids literally only build with Lego ALL day - and that's it. 6 hours is a LONG time to be doing the same activity. There was some minimal outdoor time in a park but without any structured games/sports/play, they just ran around. I could do all this for free. Not worth the cost at all. My 9-yr-old son was bored beyond belief.

Monotonous ....a few bins of Lego and its called 'Lego Camp'! (anthing for a buck) Advertisement online makes it look like wall to wall Lego. One room with approx 30 kids from 5-10yrs. My called it "A giant daycare with some Lego" Kids did not get to go outside one day when it rained... It did not rain all day!!! Disappointing to my kids and quite frankly a waste of money.
