This is my son's third year attending CVTC. Children attend year after year due to an extraordinary blend of FUN camp and great tennis instruction. Year 1 my (then 10yo) son wasn't terribly interested in tennis, so he did the minimum and spent the rest of his time swimming and doing crafts. He begged to go back last year because it was such a happy place (he wrote about it in English class when they were tasked with imagining the perfect day). Last year, he concentrated a bit more on tennis and (surprise) began to develop a decent game. He played on his middle school's Varsity B team in the spring ... so, lo!, this year, he's psyched to really work on his tennis. Just got a call saying it's GREAT. Last year I also recommended the camp to a French friend whose daughter attended a one-week session -- mainly to practice her English. This year, she came back for a two-week session -- not only had her English improved, but she'd learned a lot of tennis, to her dad's delight.
