Love, love, love this camp. My daughter attended 7 years, and again as a CIT, and it is STILL making an impact on her life years later. It is unique in the best way: on an island, with its own facilities and activities. One of its best qualities: NO GOSSIP allowed! And it really accomplishes this! If you're tired of mean girl behavior, and your daughter wants to reach out to others, this is a beautiful place to grow in God and in His love for her!

I went to Tapawingo for 7 years and it had a huge impact on my life. The counselors are SO caring, highly trained, and help you grow in your faith tremendously. Since it is located on an island (The views are AMAZING and the cabins are all on the water) its a bit smaller than other camps, but comforting especially for younger campers. There is a constant attitude of joy and acceptance (no gossip policy) amongst the girls. So many memories of beautiful days laughing, relaxing, singing, sailing, banana boating, water skiing, star gazing, worship, and making friends. Grow in your faith,apply balance, learn what it means to be part of an authentic loving Christian community, and be challenged through activities that are FUN.
