Summer is coming around again and my son keeps talking about how much he wants to go back to this camp! He did the Academic Discovery course in Wyoming, which he was hesitant to do due to its length (18 days) and the fact that it had a academic focus (school during summer! yuck!) However he couldn't stop raving about how much fun he had during the course once he got back. The staff did a great job keeping in touch with me with any developments (health, behavior, things a mom like me would worry about). I really felt like he learned a ton of stuff at camp (everything from the local animals, weather patterns, to how to start a fire and tie a rock climbing knot) and came back a changed son. I'd definitely recommend the academic course and the amazing staff. Paul, Brittany, Sean and Lindsay thank you so much!

It was one of the best experiences for my 13 year old son ever. He came home with a renewed sense of self, positive energy and with a real desire to make things good. The staff was wonderful. They were incredibly knowledgable about the attributes associated with ADHD and knew exactly how to handle any given situation. The camp was challenging, adventurous and fun. My son can't wait to go again. I would recommend this camp to anyone with or with out ADHD.

This was our son's (16 y/o) second summer with SOAR! He loves the activities and the input the campers have in the planning of everything from meals to what to do for the day. He loves the counselors as he feels they are concerned for each child's experience. As parents we like the intake call before he arrives to discuss our goals for him for the two weeks. The debrief call gives all the information of what he has accomplished for the time and what they noticed as his strengths. This is always such a positive experience that he plans the next years location before he even gets home from the last one!! We always notice how mature and proud he is when he gets home from all that they accomplish. It is wonderful to have a camp that specializes in giving the campers a great time and without them knowing it - the skills they need to achieve excellence!

The director and staff at this camp are amazingly talented and dedicated and the program is wonderful, including hiking, horseback riding, wilderness skills, white water rafting and canoeing. My son left feeling so good about himself and everything connected with this experience. It might have been the most successful experience of his entire life. He wants to go back for the whole summer next year. It is also located in a beautiful setting and seems well run in every way.
