This camp was everything I imagined plus more. At first it may seem kind of nerdy, but the second you see your first whale, it is the most amazing experience ever. From the second you step off the ferry and drive up to Swallowtail lighthouse, you are greeted by smiling campers and you feel right at home. I have been to this camp two years and will be returning for a third year and I can honestly say that Grand Manan is like a second home. I keep in touch with the campers who have become great friends, the staff, and even Sandra, our wonderful cook who makes home cooked meals three times day. Words can't describe how much I love this camp. I could always be myself, didn't ever have to worry about fitting in, and I loved camp so much, it was the topic of my college essay, which in all of my college interviews, said it sounded like a wonderful experience. I've gone a lot of summer camps in my life and finally I have found one that I actually love. It is the best camp in the whole entire universe!!!! If you love marine biology or you just want to see and study marine wildlife, this is the perfect camp for you.

This camp is, by far, the best camp I've ever been to; the staff are fun and kind, the food is delicious (home-cooked, might I add), and the experience is unremarkable! The activities are exciting and unique. Plus, how many people can say they've been to Whale Camp before?
