Click to report rating    1/22/19   5     5     5     5     5   My son did this camp over the summer. He attended this camp after his 7th grade and completed both AFIT and BFIT. He enjoyed every moment of this camp. He learnt so much and it was such a joy watching a 13 year old discuss about stock market, trading and finance. He will definitely return back to complete the rest of his camp. As a mom, i was nervous initially but Mr. Park was very supportive and helpful throughout the process. This year my son is applying for Private schools and one of the requirements was to submit a recommendation letter for the subject of his choice. I reached out to Mr. Park who without hesitation and with great delight immediately gave a letter to him. I will highly recommend this camp to all kids. Its too bad we don’t have such a facility in Boston. But it was definitely worth taking the trip to New york and Washington for this amazing experience. RID: 52428

8/21/18   5     5     5     5     5   My son loves Camp FICA. He has attended many 3-weeks camps in science, music and sports since he was 13. The 3-week FICA in NYC is best! When we talk about college, he told me he is not sure about computer science or engineering. Neither he wants to be a doctor or lawyer like many of his classmates want to be. I found a one week FICA's basic training program in Georgetown University last year. It was an eye opening experience for him. Finance is rarely known or learned in high school. The basic training program is more focused on setting a personal financial goals and identifying ways to achieve it. He started his stock trading account and did his research to find the stocks to invest. This year he spent 3-week intensive study on the concept of stock trading and financial markets. He completed 4 levels of certificates. I am so proud of the research and presentations he made in the camp. I have worked in financial industries for 20 years. This is real world training camp!  6/10/18   5     5     5     5     5   My name is Ty and I am from Orlando. I have attended three FICA camps since I was 12 years old. Personally, it is one of the best experiences I've ever had. The camp taught me how to be financially intelligent and how to understand financial businesses around the world. In addition, it showed me why people around the nation need to learn about saving, investing, etc. The camp has a great community and amazing environment for me. When I first participated in the camp, I knew nothing about the financial game. Now, I am watching investments stocks go up and down and will learn how to create my financial blog this summer. The FICA camp is a great experience and a good thing for youths to be involved in. RID: 51882

11/1/17   5     4     4     4     5   I attended the FICA Camp, really enjoyed the training. I thought that the camp was a positive experience and good college prep for me attending business school. The FICA Camp lunches were a little pricey, we had to bring $20.00 daily, I normally only spent $15 including tip. The restaurants were good though we went to places like Brio's, Cheesecake Factory and Chillis. Really gave me a chance to learn more about my classmates who were from everywhere. RID: 51455

10/23/17   5     5     5     5     5   I was really happy that the FICACAMP included CU and NYU campus tours. My son told me the many places they visit during their on campus visits and he brought back so many brochures and magazines about both business schools. NYU is his dream school. Visits to CU and NYU all happened on the first day of camp; and he told us that the CU campus buildings were huge and that both had big Business School Libraries that had over 100 students during the summer. He said each school had Blomberg Investment Terminals. He got a chance to sit in front of the terminal; he thought that was so cool. He took several pictures and sent them too us while on both campuses. As far as our family is concerned this camp is a great learning experience and professionally managed by adults. RID: 51445

9/20/17   5     4     4     4     5   I just registered my son for his third year of FICACAMP. Why? Because when I first signed up my kid at age 14 for Basic he knew absolutely nothing. Now he's asking me about planning family trips to Havard and UPenn-Wharton business schools.I know for a fact that this camp and training motivated him. RID: 51358

9/11/17   5     5     5     5     5   Great learning experience! This was one of the BEST INVESTMENTS as a parent I have ever made for my son age 13. Over the years, I have sent my son to different summer camps. By far this camp ranks at the Top of the list! This was his first financial training program and he absolutely loved it. I never saw him so excited about learning. Everyday he would come home and tell me all the things he learned. He would talk about lunch, the field trips to banks, brokerages etc.... The most important reason I sent my son to this camp was the about training and it was excellent. I have now at his request opened my sons first investment trading account. I highly recommend this camp! They provided me with everything that they promised and delivered even more. My son even got the opportunity to visit NYSE and be featured in a documentary done by TF1 TV from France. He was so happy and so am I. Two thumbs up!  9/7/17   2     2     1     2     1   must say this was one of the most disappointing bait & switch experiences I ever encountered. I think "this organization" is actually one man and his 2 teenage kids. My kids spent hours driving around in his van going to NYU & Columbia U.for a 5 minute look inside, then escorted out! There were no business lunches with business people, just the kids, dropped off while he sought parking and left with his kids (skilled trained professionals) who stared into their phones. Field trips were photo ops. Pictures taken in TD Bank where a random employee was asked to "share what banks do w/money"; their reply? "well, we invest it in interesting opportunities". $1K per kid for a week of this unprepared fly by night camp? Not a good investment. Frank Parks PROMISED to send us a detailed itinerary, its part of the agreement! He wouldn't and told our kids that "your parents will rip it apart" Just an exploitative experience. Were able to steer a family friend away. you should stay away too! RID: 51324

8/11/17   5     5     5     5     5   FICA has helped foster my love for the world of business and finance. I been here for 3 years, and completed for levels of training. I know way more about investing than I did when first came. I'm completely satisfied with my experience here. RID: 51216
Click to report rating    6/22/17   5     5     5     5     4   As a parent, my daughter was kicking and screaming not to attend this camp. She is 13 and she stated she was not going to study finance in college. I explained there was so much for her to learn concerning her personal investments when she becomes an adult, that this is a great opportunity. She said she would just save her money in the bank. lol. Her first day of camp in Atlanta, she couldn't wait to tell me how she was ready to purchase some shares and stocks. This was a great experience for her and I appreciate the opportunity. RID: 50862

9/17/16   5     5     5     5     5   My name is Edward Ortiz II and I'm from Puerto Rico. I started with very low knowledge in finance and whatnot. But after a few days and about 30-40+ pages of information provided by Mr Parks I now know what I need to know (and I was there for 3 weeks). Mr Frank Parks provided the best education on not just finance but also very important things in life such as getting to know one's priorities and responsibilities. I started college the 29th of September and since the first day I attended college the professors noticed my knowledge on finance, stocks market, specially in banking. I recommend Future Investments Club Of America to ANY young person who plans on being successful in life. I'm defenety coming back next year. The food, hotel, service, classes, trips and everything else for me was perfect! If I had to rate from 1-10 I'd give this camp an 11 RID: 50114

8/30/16   5     5     5     5     5   I sent my kids from Torrance, CA to Seattle, WA FICA summer program.I as a two boys father, have been searching for young kids financial summer programs for years. FICA is the one that I have been waiting for.I want my kids to be rich kids and smart kids. I have been teaching them how stock market moves and took them to construction sites how houses and commercial buildings have been built. I also let my kids read financial related books at the library whenever I had chances. But as a father, I have a limit to teach my kids in professional ways. when I found FICA program, I was so so pleased that I can be helped by FICA in terms of professionally teaching financial program. FICA satisfied my desire to teach my kids and take them to corporations during field trips daily. My kids learned about value of money and investment. My kids have better financial IQ than before and I want them to be financial free persons. I really appreciated FICA program and Frank. I will send my kids to NY agai RID: 50049

10/4/15   5     3     5     5     5   I participated in the New York summer investing camp of 2015, The experience in short was invaluable and most definitely has prepared me for college and adult life. I learned how to trade, sell, and monitor investments and learn the in and outs of business transactions. Mr Parks the President of the company personally teaches campers the instruction and curriculum insuring only the best learning experience. Thus concluding, this camp is worth every penny the knowledge you gain and the friends you meet insure nothing but the best experience. The Parks are very inviting and I wish them well with their camp and teaching in the future Investors! RID: 49211

9/10/15   5     5     4     5     5   I attended this Wall Street training program for one week and I can say we covered a lot of information. I went into this program wanting to know how to make more money by expanding my knowledge of the stock market. I had already started trading my own stocks prior to this camp but I wasn't very confident with any of my trades. After this program I got a better understanding of the stock market overall. I can now trade stocks with more certainty. One of the most interesting thing we learned was how to go from zero to IPO. One amazing field trip we went on was visiting the New York Stock Exchange. It was very fascinating and we received tips on how to trade from brokers on the floor of the NYSE. The staff makes sure that everyone is safe and tries their best to please everyone. It is a great camp for all ages and can really help kids create a bright future for themselves. RID: 49167

8/7/15   5     4     5     5     5   I attended the FICA camp in NYC, and I was the only female in my class, but nonetheless, I felt very included and at home with the rest of the students and instructors. They were very welcoming and treated me with utmost respect. I went in with little to no knowledge of the investment and financial world, and left with a strong grasp of the necessary steps I had to take to become successful. I especially recommend this camp to girls who might feel intimidated by the male dominated field. It is an experience that gave me confidence and information that I needed to understand what pursuing a career in the financial world would require. RID: 49025

Prior to this camp I had not known a thing about the world of finance, and by the next week I was already looking to trade my first stocks! I learned so much and had a great time too. Our teacher took us through the curriculum at a good pace, covered all of the topics planned, and answered all of the questions I had along the way. I highly recommend this program to anyone who takes any interest in finance. even those who are not interested in finance should do this camp! RID: 48975

1/10/15   5     5     5     5     5   I was a participant in the Wall Street Summer Camp. It was a fantastic experience! The camp staff were attentive and very informative. The curriculum material was interesting and relevant to the field trips during the camp. The field trips put the camp over the top! We had the luxury of going on the trading floor of the NYSE to watch the closing bell and converse with floor traders. We also met with a CFO and analyst of a hedge fund. These two events were certainly the highlight of my trip! As a college student at UPenn, I can attest to the benefit of the lessons taught at the camp especially in regard to serving as a background for my courses and extracurricular activities. With this in mind, I highly recommend this camp to anyone interested in finance and wishing to explore a potential career in this field. I have been so fortunate to have attended this camp and be afforded the opportunity to learn about investing and talk with industry leaders about their experience. RID: 48281

12/8/14   5     5     5     5     4   This is my unsolicited testimonial of our families experience attending the camp in New York. The camp provided a very good experience for our family and my son who is 15 years of age . I originally contacted the company and spoke with someone, hoping to register for a camp in San Francisco; but the dates conflicted with our family summer plans, so I selected New York in early August since we would be in nearby Pennsylvania. We decided to make a it a family vacation. Each day my son would joyfully get up around 6am, put on his business suit and we both would head to the subway just like heading in to work. Every morning when we arrived, there was always a FICA Staff person waiting to escort my son upstairs to the classroom. These people were very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. My son really learned alot, loved the training, field trips and we all enjoyed the entire experience. RID: 48194

I enjoyed it and will be going again. Peace out :D RID: 48178

9/14/14   1     1     1     1     1   I don't even know how this camp could garner any positive feedback since my experience was horrible. The class was taught by a teacher who could not even answer the simplest question about finance. There was no explanation. During my time at camp, I learnt nothing of substance; nothing that could even help me in the slightest. The entire camp is a scam, and I have grounds to believe that some of these positive reviews have been written by the camp instructors themselves. If you are wondering whether or not to send your child here, please keep in mind that there are many more productive ways that your child could spend his or her summer. RID: 47980

8/14/14   4     4     5     5     5   My mom dad tricked me to sign up for the FICA camp I got tricked by my parents into signing up for this camp. At first I was not happy to be spending one week of my summer dress up in a suit and tie everyday learning about investing and stuff. But when my parents told me the only way I could open my own stock investing trading accountwas to attend this camp my attitude changed. From the first day it was fast paste learning and no one had a time or chance to get bored. I loved the fact that we all got a chance to be involved in the training by reading and learning new words! I came to the camp all the way from California so for me the best part has also been going to places I never been before in New York like Times Square and the Rockefella Center. You see it on TV but it was much better to see it in person. I will be at the camp next year for more training! RID: 47849
8/13/14   5     5     5     5     5   I hate to admit it, but the FICA Wall Street camp was the best summer learning experience I have ever had. I loved it from the first Day when the instructor had me to create my own American Dream Plan and we visited my dream school Columbia University! I will use what I learned during these last two weeks for the rest of my life. I have already signed up for the 2015 San Francisco, CA Camp so I can hopefully visit Google, Facebook and other companies. See Ya RID: 47848
8/13/14   5     4     4     5     5   My parents searched online and found this summer camp knowing I talk their ears off about investing and finance stuff so I was excited that they wanted to sign me up. It was in New York and that's where I live so my parents made sure I didn't miss my opportunity of joining this camp. In school I'm pretty shy so I was a little nervous on my first day being around other kids but I ended up making new friends and learning about investing, business and stuff. I liked the field trips to New York Life, they showed us this big vault under ground. The people who trained us were friendly and funny at times too, I liked how they used everyday things and could translate it so us younger kids could understand. I told my mom and dad I want to go again, I told some of my friends from school to join me too so we could all learn about the investing together. Thank you for the camp see you again. RID: 47841

8/11/14   1     1     1     1     1   . This is my experience for the first day of this camp . - we get there at 8:15. only 2 instructors were there. class did not begin until almost 10:00. -we received a username and password to log in aside from the membership and started discussing about different topics. -every paragraph was read by a different student and some were followed by short videos then we moved on with little explanation from the instructor. -it was very difficult to understand what was going on when other kids were reading. -the instructors were not explaining into detail was read by the students - it seamed as though we were teaching ourselves. what was read in the classroom could have been done by our self in our bedroom. -we were quickly moved along from topic to topic and weren't retaining much information -by 12:00 we went to lunch which lasted a little over an hour the rest of the day we toured college campus nothing to do with investing RID: 47831

I am seriously considering becoming a Hedge Fund manager and wanted to attend this camp to help me prepare for college. We stayed at a nice clean and safe hotel. We traveled into the city each day. The first week was basic training which was great because I learned a lot of things I did not know. We also went on field trips every single day to banks, businesses, financial companies, the stock exchanges and even got the chance to be interviewed on BBC TV. The best part of first week was when we got the chance to visit NASDAQ and ring the closing bell. I had to pass an exam at the end and scored an A, I was so happy. The second week was even better because I started learning about more advance investment strategies & got a chance to visit a real companies stock market trading floors to learn how its actually done.  9/13/12   5     4     4     4     5   As a parent, I brought my son to America for the FICA Summer Camp. I checked out the program and found that they are licensed and have been providing a safe environment for training programs for 15 years. My research also found zero incidents of safety reports of students being injured or put in harms way. I dropped off and picked up my son at the university campus daily without any problems. A chaperon from the program was always standing with my son. The training facility I saw on campus was state of the art. The itinerary was followed with training, tours, events and more. Overall I was extremely happy with this summer camp program. My son loved the financial training; he was treated very professionally and felt very safe during the entire program. He will definitely be back next summer for advance training. Thanks FICA! RID: 42672

9/5/12   5     4     5     5     5   I have personally attended four FICA Summer Camps since I was the age of 8 years old and recently attended the camp in New York. I am currently a college student studying business and finance primarily because of this program. I can personally tell you that the staff are extremely experienced and professional. The staff and all of us campers dressed up in business suits daily. The camp itinerary was indeed followed with financial training, corporate meetings, tours to the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, Museum of American Finance, United Nations; all happened as planned. I also have the photo's to prove it. From my personal observation, campers were very well treated, supervised by adults; including the director and two college graduate student chaperons at every event. Based on what I personally witnessed neither I or any other students were left alone at any venue without an adult chaperon with us. RID: 42596

Click to report rating    8/14/12   1     2     1     1     1   A very detailed itinerary was never followed. Excuses were made daily that the tours and speakers "cancelled on us". My child didn't feel safe. Heard some of the overnight campers were left on their own in the city for hours and in the dark. I'm glad my child wasn't an overnighter. I am looking around now and think he isn't licensed. Most of the campers were his family members so I think the others were there to pay for the family vacation. He did get a couple of speakers but nothing like he scheduled. Very unprofessional! I guess not finding reviews on the camp should have been a warning sign. RID: 42370
