Our sweet & shy 14 year old daughter had the most amazing time on the 8 day River Safari. She learned so much about team work, leadership, and outdoor survival from the wonderful leaders and had an overall excellent time. Gained a lot of confidence.
Her only complaint was bug bites. But seriously; that's expected on an outdoor adventure. lol.

Our grandson, 15, went to regular summer camps but wanted something more, to learn and do more. This is exactly what he was looking for. He did the Ozark Adventure this summer and had a spectacular time. He was so proud of their accomplishments: hiking 21 miles up & down the mountains, & kayaking 40 miles on the Buffalo River. He wanted to sleep out in the open, not in a cabin, & that's what they did. He made lots of friends, & enjoyed the camaraderie of the kids and the guides. He did not miss his phone and other electronics at all. They were in the beautiful Ozarks, so they saw a lot of gorgeous scenery & wildlife. He definitely wants to go on another Epic Adventure next summer. I think the price is fair considering how long they are gone, and types of things that they get to do, & is in line with other camps. The Director, John Hardy, is great to work with and will answer all questions. I recommend this for the kid who wants to step off the beaten path & do something different.

Wow, how could anyone say anything negative about Epic Adventures!? Isn’t it great for any parent to get a break from the kids during the summer? Epic Adventures is the kind of place where you send your child to build confidence, make friends, and get experience away from the television set. I've looked around and it is priced very fairly for the type of experiences that are offered. I believe that children and teens should be able to experience the outdoors in a safe setting. It might be a little nerve wracking for any parent to just drop their kid off for a few weeks without knowing anyone but trust me, this isn’t an issue at all. There are a ton of other kids their ages and the guides are just fantastic at making everyone feel comfortable. Your child will show up nervous but when they are done they will have made a ton of friends, built up some confidence in themselves, and experienced something that they will never forget. The television set isn’t going to help your children g

We were looking for a camp for our 14-year old that would keep his interest when we found EPIC Adventures. From the beginning, John was helpful in providing information and answers to all the questions I had, as well as providing references which we contacted before making our decision to send him. Any concerns we had about sending our son on a 2-week trip were quickly washed away when we met Jess, Amber, and Hayden (the trip guides). Their experiences and expertise allowed my son (and I'm sure all the others on the trip) to have a trip full of memories to last a lifetime! Upon his return, we enjoyed hearing all the stories about his adventures! John kept parents informed with emails, pictures, and FB posts throughout the trip. Of course, it would have been nice to have pictures everyday, but I had to come to the realization that they were BUsY on the trip and couldn't always upload them! ?? Overall, we loved EPIC and my son is ready to sign up again for next year!

EPIC Adventures is the epitome of what a summer camp should be. My son and daughter went on seperate trips at the same time and both came back bubbling with stories. They have a new interest in nature and had a blast exploring exciting outdoor activities they now consider more fun than video games. The staff was extremely responsible and friendly and the owner, John did a great job of keeping us updated with Facebook worthy pictures. My kids are already trying to pick which trips they want to go on next summer! I couldn't recommend this camp more!

This was the first time to send my daughter to a camp without knowing a soul that would be there or had been there before. She came back full of stories and ready to go back. She said the guides were great and knew what they were doing, she made friends and learned alot of skills on "the trail" as she keeps referring to. I didn't give a 5 for monetary value because of the food choices. It seemed pretty limited, repetitive and very cheap. I guess the teens didn't mind, just a moms point of view. I feel quite confident she will be on another Epic Adventure next year.

This place did a great job this summer. My daughter went on the Texas Adventure and she had soooo much fun. It is has been almost 2 months since she got back and she still reference her trip and keeps asking me if she can go on one of the longer trips next year. From a dads point of view I must admit I was a little surprised by the whole thing. The reviews scared me a bit but she REALLY REALLY wanted to go so I said yes. I am not sure what happened on previous trips but she loved the staff and had a great trip and I think they did a great job. Everything about the trip went perfect. Reason she liked it the most was because she got kayak down a river and camp out on the river bank for 2 nights. I liked it mainly because she had fun and they took care of my kid. I also like how they kept me in the loop with email updates and pictures.

This is the 2nd year my family and I have sent our son Dylan. Last year we were not sure what to think about sending him off with a bunch of strangers for 2 weeks to North Carolina in the Blue Ridge Expedition. He had some much fun last year that we decided to send him again this year to on the Ultimate Arkansas trip and he had even more fun. Since he has been home that is all he talks about. Despite torrential rains on the trip they still had fun. I think it was actually great that they had to deal with some adversity along the way. Also since he has been home he has been dying to cook for us. So far we have had Pita Pizza, "EPIC" Potatoes (Chicken, green beans, cheese, carrots mixed together), and salmon quesadillas. These are some of the things they cooked and they are actually pretty good. Overall a great camp. They may come home smelly and ready for a bath but they will have fun.

When I picked my son up from Epic Adventures he was covered from limb to limb with swollen infected bug bites and his calves/ankles were so inflamed and swollen they were hot to the touch. I had to rush him to the hospital. When I asked Tara Watson about what had happened she started laughing "I think he slept in an ant pile". He was also forced to eat until he threw up, supposedly they were teaching him the laws of nature but I believe that the unqualified camp leaders created it into some sick type of hazing for their own personal entertainment. Mr. Hardy placed blame on my 14 year old and now refuses to call me back. Cassie Atkins the woman in charge of first aid for the trip won't call me back neither. They should be ashamed!!!! I have pictures of my sons arms & legs if anyone would like to see them, we still are unsure if there will be scaring. msc1279@outlook.com As of today my son is still shaken up from the camping trip, I believe I'm lucky that he came back from the camp!
