Absolutely horrible! The horses were tied up all day some were out beside each other like right beside. And then caused drama because the horses were nipping biting and kicking at each other. Absolutely disgusting that this camp is still open. Even under new ownership it is still horrible. I was in the advanced group and one day it was raining so we went inside the barn! The disgusting barn that was covered in worms and flees and not to mention dust everywhere! All we did was say the horses colours! Sorry but like wtf I’m an advanced student and I already know wtf a palomino is. I hated this camp so much. One girl taller than me about 4.8 at the time was put on a Shetland pony. Her legs touched the ground and my horse was small to. My horse was always stuck behind that one causing my horse to get annoyed and bite it. My horse got kicked while I was on it. I tried to space but the pony was so small it was impossible. WORST CAMP EVER! Abusive and horrible I would never go back. EVER!

Great place if you want your kid riding worn down abused horses. Im ashamed to say i ever volunteered there. I hope the place is better now under a new owner, though i heard the horses situations have not changed. I pray for any horse who gets sent to griffin valley and im not even religious.

My daughter loved her week out at Griffin Ranch. I don't think any of the other camps I booked for her this summer will live up to the experience she had out there. She was so sad to leave her horse and can't wait to go back to see her again. I really loved the picture they gave to each camper on their horse. She'll always have fond memories of her time there.
