I went here for a weekend trip. This camp is great but definitely flawed. I will list the pro's and cons for you: Pros: Most of the staff is fun and kind, They are good for the environment, they don't make you do things you don't want to, They don't make you go outside if the weather is bad, the food is generally healthy, and they are one of the only non-religious camps i know of, so they're good if you are not religious. Cons: The cabins aren't heated and have no power outlets, however they do have lights. They are also unfinished, my cabin had nails sticking out of the wall, poking us in the head and no insulation. The food isn't very good and if you don't finish it, they reserve your tables food to another group. The activities are fun but not as fun as the ones at other camps. There is no ocean or lake, just a small pond. And they are EXTREMELY expensive! Personally, i don't think this camp is the best option unless you don't want a religious camp.

Superb camp. My 9 year old went timid, and came back brave. He's been talking all year about going back.

I didn't like how they dealt with the situation between themselves and my daughter.

My kids love Camp Summit. They have been going for the past three years. We recently moved to Calgary and made every effort to have them go again. I just brought them for their amazing week of camp again. They love the food (nothing fried), games, campfire songs, all the other campers, the Summit Olympic Games....I can go on and on. They will be going for many more years to come.......Thank you to all the amazing staff for making our kids feel so welcome and comfortable during their week at camp.

An Ontario-style summer camp. Fantastic staff and great adventure touring programs, varying from whitewater rafting to sea kayaking, back country horseback and hiking trips. Tidy and very well kept grounds. Neat boys' and girls' villages with good wash facilities. Owner/director lives on property with his young family. On-site activities include archery, high and low ropes courses, climbing wall, bike-riding trails, a variety of games, arts and crafts. Water for swimming and canoeing nearby. My only wish is that the camp was on the shore of a lake for some more water sports, but the geography and terrain in BC makes that difficult. This will be my 10-year-old's 3rd summer going and she loves it.
