My kids had a great time learning water sports and doing other activities. However, they should give parents more of a discount for siblings. A $50 savings is not great especially when you have to send them for two weeks. They should have the campers eat together in the dining hall not be separated and eating at their cabins. Also I feel for the price they should provide food and better snacks.

I LOVE THIS CAMP! I cannot say enough great things about Camp Redwood. This is the REAL DEAL for a REAL outdoor day camp experience. My son learned to swim, fish, knee board, tube, play tennis, baseball, do archery, paint, and learn outdoor camp skills in 8 weeks! And he is sometimes hesitant to try new things. Buddy, the Dad - has run this camp for So LONG -he treats the kids with respect but makes them earn his praise. Jon the son who runs the camp-his own children and families' children are campers- he LIVES for the place. If you are looking for a place with bright colored paint and brand new plastic features than this may not be the place for you. But if you want your kids to learn the value of outdoor play and true camp life experience -CAMP REDWOOD is for you. It is where my kids will be every summer. Comments/questions -bring them on! PS -when it comes to making recommendations for kids - i dont mess around. I stand by all of my comments above and believe in Camp Redwood!

This was an amazing camp experience for my child. They learned how to knee-board at the lake under excellent instruction and supervision from the staff as well as met many new great friends. The facilities were great for them to learn new activities and sports while having fun, and the costs weren't too high for the rewarding experience that they received. By far this is one of the better camps that my child has gone to and will be returning to this camp again next summer. I felt safe knowing my child was well cared for and supervised the entire time at this camp with certified lifegaurds and an EMT on the staff.

This was our first summer at Camp Redwood. The children had an excellent time. The camp staff well organized and instructional. For example, my children did not just play tennis, they had a tennis lesson. I have to say their favorite part was the lake, where they went tubing and knee-boarding. What I valued most was that I felt that the children were safe and well cared for. They were expected to follow rules that pertained to their safety and yet were allowed the freedom to play. It is a beautiful facility and we can't wait until next summer!

The camp definately needs to spend the money that they are taking in and stop being so cheap, reusing plastic silverware. The counselors are well prepared but they put up from a lot of what the owners say. There are definately better camps in the area worth more for a cheaper monetary price.

supervision was poor, directors were not always aware what children were doing, and conselors were not held responsible for incidents that ocurred while children were under their care; facilities needed desperate upgrading; plastic utensils were used over and not disposed of. frequently they were found dirty. department of health was there on 1 ocassion. i became aware of this when i called the facility one day and over heard a conversation that director was having over her radio.
