This camp is a scam! The advertising is false. It promises to teach the children food safety, kitchen skills, nutrition skills and food science. It boast that they will learn about food allergies, substainable farming, and build and maintain an on-site herb garden. My child learned none of that and spent most of the time watching TV. My husband and I were very disappointed. I will not recommend this camp to anyone!!!

Website promises to use cooking to improve math, science, technology & communication and field trips to cooking schools, working farms. However, cooking amounted to cutting up fruit while Chef Sidney taped a news segment and making coleslaw from bagged kits. Field trips? Walks to the TV room to watch Food Network for hours. Communication? Chef Sidney yelling at kids to clean their plates. Math? Perhaps Chef Sidney’s profit calculation at $300+ per kid. I complained on Wednesday, he said they would get to everything. Pardon my skepticism, but as I had signed no transportation permissions and camp ended at lunch on Friday, (a change communicated AFTER camp started) I didn’t see field trips or learning happening that week. Pulled my kids out Day 2, and requested a prorated refund. He agreed, asking me to email a request. I did – 3 times to 3 different addresses. No response except to deny receipt of the emails. Chef Sidney may be a master at marketing, but his camp is a master rip-off.
