I hope no one takes the comments written in 2014 seriously. They were obviously written by one very disgruntled person and are not representative of IGC at all. My 10 year old was placed in an appropriate group based on a skill evaluation(NOT competitive level). At camp they work on skills, rather than routines as she does during most practices at home, which she really liked. She felt safe trying new things because the coaches spot everything until the gymnast feels confident enough to ask to try it alone. The days are full; six sessions of gymnastics, traditional camp activities, and enough free time for the kids to socialize a bit. This really is an international camp; my daughter had six people in her cabin from other countries. The counselors were very welcoming. The food was not gourmet but there was variety and my daughter was never hungry. She was tired when I picked her up at the end of the week, because they do pack a lot into every day. She can't wait to go back!

All of these reviewers must have the wrong camp, I loved my time at IGC! The coaches do put thought into what group you get put in, and I became super close with my group by the end of the week. When I was there I got my front walkover on beam, front hip on bars, and a full twisting lay off of beam. My cabin was the best! I had a top bunk and my counsellors were so nice and didn't time our showers, which I will admit we're a little small. The canteen was always extremely busy, but if you buy multiple tickets at a time that can cut down on your wait. The food was really good as well. Best week of my life was at IGC!

Why is this camp so bad..? They had the worst food there. I hated the whole thing and there were no water brakes all the fun things that they show on the video are not real. The counslers were the meanest people in the world, never go to this camp. It was terrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiibbbbbbllllleeeeee. It was the worst thing that ever happened to me:((((

This camp is the worst camp in the world. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dumpy. My daughter went their for 1 week and never went back. Everyones sick there because of their food they give you all junk with 1 piece of a vegtable. The trays are Dirty as heck. The pool has bird poop all over it. The weather their is terrible. The lake has leeches in it and they make you go in it. The lake also has frogs. It is the most disgusting camp I have ever seen. You will have the worst week of your life if you send your child their. The kids are total SSSSSSSSSNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBSSSSSSSSS. SNOBS. Worst camp ranked

It was so bad I had to pick my daughter up! The food was terrible it was all junk with one piece of spinach on your dirty tray. The pool was the dirtiest thing in the world it had bird poop in it. Everyone was getting hurt and sick and the nurses said "to bad". My daughter never learned a new trick at all. A girl was in my cabin and she passed out in the bathroom because they never give you any drinks. No water brakes during gymnastics. You couldn't take a shower on a rainy day. There was a mini tornado. There's no supervision. There's no privacy. Kids are always trying to steal your stuff. You get five hours of sleep and then they challenge you sooooooooo hard. Never ever go there??????????????

OK, so let me start off by saying WORST CAMP EVER.On the first two days I was homesick and when I tried to talk to the counsler she tuned me out.When my ankle was hurt I went to the athletic trainer and they rapped it and when I went back the next day they ignored me.There were 21 girls to a bunk with 1 primary counsler.The cabins were gross and moldy.The food was in ediable, all junk.This is supposed to be an athletic camp.There was no structure what so ever after yur 6 hours of gymnastics was over you got to do what ever you wanted and could get hurt very eaisily.If you were sick you had to stay at camp. No going home. One girl was passed out on the bathroom floor from dehidration and had no option to go home. It was raining the majority of the time I was there and we werent sloud to take a shower in the rain everyone stunk. The pool was disgusting, and the lake had bugs and you werent aloud to go in itcause it was so dirty.The scary arie made my nose bleed Never going back Terrible

This will be my daughters 3rd year. She loves it and has made great friends. Last year, when injured, the trainers were exceptional in treatment, support and communication.

Overall, this camp is OK. Activities are limited and after a while, get very boring. The coaches were nice but they would not let you do anything by yourself, there was a level 8 girl who wasn't allowed to do a round off back handspring by herself. They do not put any thought into what groups they place kids in. But the worst thing was the nurses. They were very rude and un-accomodating. I had very bad stomach aches and migraines and after two trips to the nurse, one said, " what do you expect us to do". I was completetly appauled by their behaviour. Also, you get at most, 6 hours of sleep at night. I went home exhausted. Please don't waste your money on this camp, your kids will not have an enjoyable experience here.
