I worked with Joel Lavenson in the summer 2013 and 2012 as a nurse. My children also attended the camp. They had one of the best memories of camp's life. I am excited that Joel Ross is having his 2018 summer camp at that facility. He is also great and loves what his does. I worked with him as well as camp nurse. The kids and staff will have a great summer. I wish the best for you Joel Ross. Rosalie Dudkiewicz

New England Golf & Tennis Camp is not associated with Maine Golf & Tennis Academy. In 2015 we purchased the MGTA facility. The rating directly below does name NEGTC. The comments and ratings come from a disgruntled ex-employee. In today's digital world it is much too easy for staff that are bitter about their experience (often because they were fired) to lash out with an anonymous posting with the sole intent to harm the reputation of the camp that released them. An option would be to name the ex-staff person in this posting and list their deficiencies that caused them to lose their job. We are not interested in doing that because when they apply for a new job and the employer googles their name this posting would appear. We have no interest in harming their reputation. We can also say with confidence that their comments are false. We run a camp where every camper is cared for and accounted for. Our camp families are very happy. New England Golf and Tennis Camp, Kids are not accounted for, able to roam freely. Counselors are yelled at and threatened to be fired. Only 1 hr and 15 min of required instruction time the rest of the day the kids can choose to swim or play ping pong. Kids are in cabins unattended because counselors are overworked as instructional staff. No planning or preparing everything is done off the cuff, disorganized chaos at best.

This is a good camp for anyone interested in improving their skills in golf or tennis. The staff is friendly. The food is good. It is a great way to spend any or all of your summer on the lake in Maine while learning new ways to get better at the sport you love.

I went to this camp for 6 or 7 years and I can truly say that this was one of the most valued times in my life. There are some many obvious flaws with this camp but they do not even come close to overpowering the amazing place that it is. As far as golf instruction, the professionals are really the best in the country and if you want to improve your game, this is the place to do it. If you are hesitant about going to this camp/sending your child to this camp, don't be. Belgrade, Maine is a beautiful place and I guarantee that some of the best memories of your life will be made there.

MGTA is the best Golf an Tennis camp in America! I worked there last summer as camp nurse, and my two daughters were campers. My son was a staff member there too. Our family loved it, and we are coming back this 2013 summer. The Lavenson is a great family that puts the whole heart to MGTA, so the children and staff can have the best summer ever.
