This camp is the best camp ever there are so many fun activities and you can chose what you do every day. Also you have the amazing outdoor feeling by sleeping in awesome platform tents. They feel so cozy and safe. I had such a great time here. I have medical issues and they were totally fine with that and gave me what I needed. It is such a great camp with awesome food. They also have plenty of food for people with diatary restrictions. The counselors are so nice and all the staff is supportive of everything. There are kids from all around the world coming to a camp in Fairlee Vermont that is full of fun and great traditions. If you are thinking about coming the you should definitely come.

Aloha is my favorite place in the whole world. Every year that I come back i love it even more. The people you meet here are so pure and amazing, the campus is beautiful and you can never be bored. All the traditions and songs are so special and are a big part of what keeps you coming back.

Aloha Hive is the best thing ever. I count down the days until I can get there. The counselors are amazing, the kids are so fun, and all the activities are great!! I love sailing and I could sail every single day if I wanted to . I have had so much fun there and am going back for my 4 year this summer!!

I love Aloha Hive! I finished Hilander summer and my next summer I am going to be an Anti-Q! Anyway, the staff and counselers are amazing, except for a few. The facilities are good, except I'm scared of spiders, and sleeping outdoors... so if you're like me I reccomend bringing a bug net/tent. The activities are my favorite part. You get to choose most of your own except swim, if you're in the play and have rehersal, and if you signed up for riding and have a riding period. We have a show, swim, horseback riding, ropes, landsports, tennis, performing arts, canoeing, gymnastics, a farm, and more! I gave personal attention a 3 because I felt like I got too much personal attention. And I don't feel like Aloha Hive is particularily an expensive camp, so you should defintley go! A good age to start is 9-10, or start as an Elfin as 8. Anyway, it's a great camp, you should go!

I am going into my 3rd year at this camp and love it! The campers and counselors were kind and inclusive. They did not have favorites. The traditions were interesting, the food great, and the activities fun! The tents were good and close to the bathrooms. The nurses were helpful when I got a spider bite. I would recommend this camp to anyone who wants a relaxed camp that does NOT attract city kids. It is old fashioned and fun (no electronics, only letters, etc.). The camp director was great!

I would definitly recomend this camp to anyone. There is tennis, swimming, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, track, kickball, arts and crafts, gymnastics, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, ropes course, farm, garden, wilderness, exploring, and sooo much more! this is definitley the BEST CAMP EVER!

The camp director was so rude and uptight. We spent the first few nights trying to figure out what crawled up her butt and died. There was an inane song for every occasion and we were instructed to clap every time someone dropped her dishes at meal time. How mature! The pièce de résistance was when our councilor told us to only use "4 squares" of toilet paper to prevent waste!! Heaven help you if you get the runs!

The staff turnover seemed high this summer. There were a lot of new faces. The lake front is beautiful, and the tents, though rustic, provide a "true" camp experience. The camper counselor ratio is good, but there can be too much smothering at times. The activities are fun, but you have to get "picked" to go on certain trips, and there is a lot of room for unfairness.

These camps are awesome! I've been going to aloha hive for 5 years and I love it I can't wait to go to aloha. The counselors there are amazingly nice and the activities are so fun with so many options. Sailing, canoeing, tennis, wilderness, ,archery, gymnastics,.... And so many more! You in wood-based tents, or cabins, and it's awesome. You make so many friends there! When my parents pick me up, I start crying-it's so sad to leave all my friends and awesome counselorss for pa whole! I definitely recommend aloha and hive for any girl. My sister went to hive for the first time th is summer, and she loved it. Her counselor was so nice (well, they all are) and she loved her tent mates and made so many friends. The aloha camps is the place to be! Definitely!

I went to Aloha as a first-year camper last summer. Although the camp itself was very beautiful, and the people were friendly, I kept a calendar and marked off the days just waiting to go home. I had a difficult time making friends because of all the stupid traditions that I walked in on half-way. Everyone at this camp has practically known each other since birth, and their grandparents are all best friends. I do not recommend Aloha for first-time campers. However, if your daughter is young then I do recommend sending her if you have the money. I'm sure she can invest herself in priceless friendships and a great sense of tradition.

My daughter is in her fifth (and last) year at Aloha Hive and absolutely loves the experience, the community, the counselors, the activities. Astonishing what this Camp and all the Aloha Camps achieve in this day and age: a complete embrace of the essential things in life such as friends; nature; full-throated singing; the freedom to be silly and to be yourself; activities and events that are, simply put, old-fashioned fun; and oh yes, discovering what you like to do and who you are away from parents, families and teachers who hover, hover, hover (trust me...I know...I am one of those hovercrafts). My son also attended Lanakila for five years and has such an attachment to the place, its traditions and many personal and cherished memories. Both of my children describe Aloha as one of the best -- if not THE BEST -- things we have ever given them. You won't go wrong in making this choice for your children.

i would not recommend aloha, especially to new campers. my experience: very confusing in beginning; exclusive tentmates; unhelpful staff; strict about family contact; few and exclusive activities; stupid traditions; only one option on food; VERY expensive!!! don't spend your money on aloha!!

i went to aloha for a year, and i didnt like it very much. they were so incredibly strict i couldnt enjoy myself it was hard to be silly goofy and loud . you were so limited with activities and things to do i got bored easily. nothing was fun. the counselors were rude to me just because i was more of a city girl, the only thing i liked was some girls i met there who are now my bestfriends. if you're looking for a lot of fun i wouldnt recomend aloha its too strict and uptight.

I went to Aloha for two years and I loved it so much! It is a great experience, and you meet so many amazing people there. I met some of my closest friends at Aloha. Everything is simpler there - there's nothing to distract you from what's important, that being friends and community. The counselors are so wonderful, and there is such a close bond between the counselors and the kids. The lake is beautiful, as is the camp itself. There are tons of fun traditions and the camp is so full of life and love. It's such a great place, and I think about it every day. I HIGHLY recommend it.
