The counselors and directors are missing the most basic camp skills. My son had a little homesickness and was having a hard time acclimating - something that happens at every residential camp. At this camp, campers can keep their phones so my son was calling me every day and telling me he was homesick. I called the camp and they said they would talk to my son. No one approached my son for two more days. They finally had someone talk to my son after three additional phone calls from me begging them to talk to him. Unfortunately, even though they had a counselor talk to my son, it didn't turn out so well. The counselor asked my son why he was at camp if he couldn't make friends. The next morning my son found out the same counselor stole money from a camper and was fired. The camp has no policies for handling kids that are struggling other then sending them home at the families cost. I would look at other tech camps before sending your children here. Numerous families left very unhappy.

Our son got sick at camp. This is how we came to learn that the camp nurse is not a nurse and only has basic first aid training. She did not assess our son, or even take his temperature. She cleaned up and told him to go to breakfast. No one called us when this happened, and the "nurse" did not answer our call or text. We learned our son was sick when he texted us and asked us for help. We ended up bringing him home for several days, because he really was ill. (When he returned to camp, he was taken aside and told not to contact us for help anymore. He also learned that other campers were sick and were told to just power through.) Upon his return, we found that several of his belongings were stolen from his room. No attempt was made to find them. I cannot stress how dismaying the whole experience was. The camp administration is certainly incompetent. We will not be returning.

My 8yo son was BITTEN by a 12yo boy hard enough to break the skin and leave a significant bruise. The camp didn't bother to call me!!! They just gave my son an ice pack, and sent the older boy to his room to "think about it". I didn't want to let him go back, but it was the second-to-last day of camp, and he really wanted to go in on the last day so that he could download the computer files from his class projects so that we could see them. Unfortunately, on the last day, one of his instructors DELETED my son's project from his flash drive!!! My son was devastated. Do NOT trust these people with your child!!!
