I attended this camp one year as a teenage girl, and came home at the end of the week feeling lukewarm about it. I picked up a bad cold there and wasn't feeling well the last couple days, so I admit that may have colored my opinion. The staff were nice and all seemed to know what they were doing, and the activities are great--I really liked how much choice I got in what I did. The main negative for me was the other campers--my yurt-mates were nice but always seemed pre-occupied with make-up and which boys they had crushes on, and I'm not at all interested in either of those things, so I felt a little out of the loop. However, I can't speak for the attitudes of the boys or the younger campers, so the experience there is probably different. Overall, it's a good camp, and despite being new, the directors are very competent. It just seems to attract a certain kind of camper--one that I'm not. I've since switched to Camp Tuckaho, and that fits better with my personality.
