IHC is an AMAZING camp! My children have had nothing but incredible summers and I have no complaints whatsoever! The facility is INCREDIBLE and they are constantly renovating and improving! Campers are safe, happy, and truly loving their “second home”. This camp is the REAL DEAL! It is a special place where memories of a lifetime are created. It has been an unforgettable experience and each year it gets better and better! Choosing IHC was the best decision for our family and there is nothing I would change! This camp has made my children better people and that means everything! I am grateful for every summer and highly recommend this camp to anyone who cares about values and appreciation. You won’t be disappointed.

This camp went from being an unbelievable place to a living nightmare since the new owner Joel took over. He is very disrespectful and mean to both campers and parents. He acts as if he is doing you a favor that your child is there. He is not a stable person and if at anytime you have a concern about your child and try to talk to him about anything he tells you if you don’t like it to come pick up your child. I STRONGLY RECCOMEND THAT YOU DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS CAMP ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A SON.

DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE!!! Unfortunately the new owners (Lauren & Joel) are mean and horrendous!! They are destroying the camp that at one time was the greatest "home away from home" that my kids ever could have imagined. The new Director/Owner of the boys side is Joel. He is HATED BY ALL parents and campers for many years. He has even been known to have psychotic episodes towards some of the campers. My son saw it up close when Joel practically attacked a camper for doing something wrong (nothing terrible). The new owners only care about making money. They are known to call the parents obnoxious and the campers "entitled". If you go to the bus drop-off and/or pick-up, every single parent says they hate Joel and Lauren and don't want to send their kid back the following year. They are running the camp into the ground. It is such a shame because my kids loved Shelley and Dave. I VEHEMENTLY DISCOURAGE PARENTS FROM SENDING THEIR CHILD TO INDIAN HEAD CAMP!

Camp IHC is hands down one of the best summer camps in the country. I've visited dozens of summer camps across the US and none have matched the facilities, the environment or the leadership team that this camp has. It's a very special place to send a child for the summer. A big highlight is the food, it's outstanding quality for a summer camp. On top of that the staff were highly trained and experienced. Hats off to Camp IHC!

I would have to say that this camp has completely diminished its sense of respect and loyalty to all who they owe their utmost success to. For example, every respected head of subject, was so well loved, but as the camp tried to conform to industry standards, the "legends" as some may say, were completely pushed out. Camp should always be like a home. No matter what the case, you can always go back. Apparently, based on many of the accounts I have heard with the latest owner, you CANNOT. To me, this is not only disrespectful as it is disgusting. No matter the situation, camp should ALWAYS be considered a 2nd home. my door is ALWAYS open. This is not the first instance I have heard of such a disheartening tale. If anyone knows of the camp's current status, pleas share. Thank you.

amazing camp. only complaint is that the directors definitely cater to the more demanding kids/parents - allowing special treatment and privileges, while the easygoing kids/parents are not privy to such things. true, it is a business - but laid back families who rarely complain should be just as important and valued as the ones who call everyday. we've had a great experience, but i wish this one aspect was improved.

indian head camp changed my life...the owners, counselors, and fellow campers changed me. i went to camp for 8 summers which have been the best 8 summers of my life. they teach you good morals which helps you appreciate others. i would do anything to go back. staff are friendly, helpful, and kind and generous. the counselors, along with owners and head staff help you whenever you need advice. the best decision i ever made in my life was choosing this camp. i grew up with it and will never forget it. this camp is set up in a specific way so everybody enjoys their summer and gets the best out of it. there are too many good things to say about this place. indian head is a home to me. i count down the days all year. i also made the best friends from camp that i know i will keep in touch with forever. the saying you live 10 months for 2 really applies to this camp. going to this camp will make a huge impact on your life.

I attended Indian Head for seven years. IHC is amazing there is nothing bad to be said about it. I recently watched an old camp video and it brought back so many amazing memories. I had the seven best summers of my life there and I wish that I could still be a camper there (although I'm way too old now) The grounds are beautiful and are always clean. You are always busy doing some sort of activity. Tribe West is the most amazing summer EVER. S&D were like second parents to me and whenever I was homesick I knew that I always had someone to talk to and cheer me up :-) I know that I will be sending my kids there in years to come - IHC will always be my second home.

Indian Head Camp is one of a kind. My experience there was been amazing! The staff, the activities, the attention you get when you need help with something is all AMAZING! I reccomend this camp to anyone who loves making your new best friends and having experiences that could last a lifetime! Shelley, Dave, and Joel have the warmest hearts and so do the rest of the faculty. Whoever said something bad about this camp,YOU ARE THE OBNOXIOUS ONE! Don't trash talk my home away from home because you're just insecure about how our camp is better than yours! All the campers here learn a life lesson that will carry on with them for the rest of their life! Everyday they have a schedule of activities that they look forward to doing! I have never valued something as much as this camp's memories and your best friends. We also have camp brothers and sisters that are so sweet and connect with groups that are younger and older than you. Also, the feedback of tribe west is amazing. COME TO OUR CAMP!!!!

IHC is the best camp ever. We're so glad we picked it. The facilities are gorgeous with being obnoxious. The people there are professional and mature. The kids grow up in a healthy old-school kind of way. We couldnt be happier. Its nice to have owners that have been doing this for years and know what the are doing. We love the Tagers!

Can't say enough about how this camp is like a second family.It starts with the owners who put their hearts and souls into each summer. They have put a leadership group together that holds trhye same values they do dear and work heard to make each childs experience a safe, nurtering, memorable one. One of the best camps in the country.

Indian Head is truly my son and daughter's second home. My daughter has been attending Indian Head for six years, and my son, five years. My seven year old daughter is attending this year, because of all the wonderful news Indian Head has gave my children. The kids are the farthest people from "jappy." I mean, I guess a handful of kids are from the camp, but it is so easy to make friends. Shelley, Dave, and Joel do an excellent job running Indian Head in tip top shape. Any issues are dealt with right away. The girls can only wear one-pieces, and don't wear short dresses or anything appealing. The occasional phone calls I get are nothing but excellent. Indian Head is truly amazing. I don't get how anyone dislikes this camp. WE LOVE YOU, IHC!

Directors are very slow to respond to problems in the Bunks. Friends of ours as well as us, had to hear about problems for weeks in letters before they were taken care of. Very nice camp faclilities, with horrible supervision and owners who do just LESS then the minumum. Be Very Wary

This camp is fantastic. I am sure the nasty comments written on here are from other camps very close by that feel threatened by how well the Indian Head Camp family works together. The owners have wonderful values and priorities, they welcome children with all differnt types of personalities with open arms. FREEMAN is the best! This amazing staff member is loved by everyone on campus and made our tour incredible. We could not wait to send our child to IHC and will send our younger one in the years to come. Thank you IHC for existing and making our choice easy. I feel perfectly safe knowing my kids are in great hands.

IHC is the best experience in the whole entire world!! Camp does not get any better than this one. This is my 5th year and every year has been an experience that i have remebered since that time. The kids are so nice and are easy to make friends with. IHC ROCKS AND EVERY KID SHULD GO THERE NOMADER ANYTHING!

I have sent my children here for six years and every year when they come home, they count the days to go back for a summer of fun. Everything at Indian Head is incredible. There is no other camp I would think about sending my children to.

I went to Indian Head for four years, and although the campus is very beautiful, the people whom I bunked with were very snobby and obnoxious. The camp from the outside is very appealing, but when you are at the camp from the inner perspective you realize that it is more then the campus. The girls that where in my bunk were brats, cliquey, judgemental, and very unwelcoming. Going to camp made me feel nervous, and scared, while I should have been feeling excited and thrilled. I happen to love Shelly and Dave, they are amazing people, but they just seem to have mean people in their camp (which I don't blame them for).

This camp is amazing! Who ever said that the kids are spoiled and the staff was unfriendly they have no clue what they are talking about.I have three kids that go there that love it. They talk about it every day. I highly recomend this camp.

Indian Head is an INCREDIBLE camp! The directors, the staff, the facilities - all amazing. My daughter has been to Dream Week and full session 7-week camp at IHC. She's back this summer and her letters to us are filled with happiness, friendship, & FUN. We wouldn't dream of sending our kids anywhere else!

My nine year old child went to this camp and was treated very badly. He was very homesick and had never been away from home. The counselors he had were immature and didn't care at all about kids. They hire very poor counselors and the owners are jerks as well. They only want your money and once they have your kid they could care less. There are many more camps out there that hire better staff and the owners etc. are much more concerned with the happiness and well being of your child. My child came home that summer very unhappy and I regretted sending him to this awful, camp.
