My son participated in the Film Intensive. That was fantastic! But those activities only take place during the day and during the work week. The kids, and they are mostly high school students, basically have nothing to do at night and on the weekends. You can just imagine what the kids did with all that free time. That is a huge failure of this "camp"! In addition, the kids in the film program didn't even get to know all the kids in the film program. There should have been a huge emphasis in creating community among these kids and there just was not. The camp should better utilize all the Resident Hall staff to plan events for the evenings. That staff was extremely bored. Utilize that energy and create a strong community among these kids who are obviously leaders in their chosen field of film, dance, drama, music.....
