My sister went to this camp and during an open circus evenings activity she climbed the trapeze ladder. She is not instructed to take her socks off, and the person who is supposed to be watching her, was listening to music and not paying attention. How does headphones in and my sister fell off the ladder. For some reason there was no mass on the floor and she broke some of her teeth. I had to wear a neck brace and had to get lots of stitches. Witness it and I was the one who had to go get an adult because none of the counselors were paying attention even though my sister was having bloodcurdling screams.

Nigel and the team at FWSA are all wonderful, and run a fantastic program! We send 10+ students from our nonprofit program to French Woods Sports and Arts each summer and they all return home with rave reviews and can not wait to go back to camp the next summer. This is a great program for teens as it pulls all the best elements from traditional summer camp but modernizes the experience as well, so campers can grown within the program. As someone who attended camp my entire childhood, I would have loved a program like this that focuses on the teen camp experience! The programming, staff, facilities and atmosphere make French Woods Sports and Arts such a special experience. Thank you Nigel & everyone at Sports and Arts!

i first came to this camp 3 years ago after going to the sister camp for 2 years before that, ever since then it has been my home away from home and my happy place. i love the camp and everyone there. i couldn’t be any more grateful that i have the opportunity to go each summer.

French Woods Sports and Arts Center is amazing! FWC is a great place to make the best summer memories. My counselors are all awesome. They all teach different activities and encourage me to try new things. I can't wait for next summer!

French Woods Sport & Art camp is a wonderful combination of freedom and appropriate boundaries for teen campers. The facilities are fabulous, and the food is varied, healthy and delicious. My quiet teen thrived here, made new friends, tried new activities, and is excited to go back.

Sending my daughter to French Woods Sports and Arts was one of the best decisions we ever made. She was very reluctant to go to sleep away camp, partially because of her Celiac disease (she's gluten free). When we went to pick her up after 2 weeks, she didn't want to leave. She made amazing friends, loved the couselors, and learned so much. She did circus, dance and photography every day. And the kitchen staff could not have been better. Her meals were prepared and served separately. She never got sick from the food. She can't wait to go back next year!

Nigel is THE Best Camp Director Ever and his family is AWESOME! He inspires his staff to deliver the best summer ever for each camper! Nigel's passion for camp reflects in the positive enriching summer camp experience every kid receives at FWE. Between them, Nigel and his wife Ruthie have a combined 44 years of private camping and institutional facility management experience, as well as the elite Camp Safety Director’s Certificate, A Certified Camp Directors Certificate from the American Camp Association, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. In addition, Nigel sits on the Board of Advisors for Camp America. With them, your child(ren) could not be in better hands.
