Definitely not the right camp for a first-time sleepaway experience. The staff are young dancers - they are not parents or otherwise equipped to handle the emotional needs of children who are having their first experience at sleep away camp. Despite voicing my concerns to the director on Day 1 there was a distinct lack of attention. My daughter, who is comfortable being away from home and who was very much looking forward to ADTC, was so upset by the time we picked her up 5 days later that she doesn't ever want to go to sleep away camp again. On a secondary note, the dorm rooms were depressing and the added costs for things like swimming in a water hole left me feeling the camp was not good value for money. We would not return here - dancing was great but there is much more than dancing that is needed with a first time camper.

My daughter had a great experience at ADTC. She made great friends and enjoyed her time with the dance teachers .
