Click to report rating    4/5/19   5     5     5     5     5   An extremely amazing camp with a dedicated staff. The amenities are top notch and they are constantly working on and improving everything available at the site. I've had an amazing time whenever I've been there. RID: 52561

Click to report rating    12/12/18   4     4     5     3     4   My son attended the camp two summers in a row. He loved the contact with legitimate ex- military instructors. His favorite activity was target practice at the range. He made great friends with several of the other cadets, many of whom were from foreign countries. I did get the sense that the dorms were a bit of a free for all, but my son did not complain. He is looking forward to returning this summer. RID: 52379
Click to report rating    12/10/18   5     5     5     5     5   Our son has been to Military Adventure Camp for 2 Summers and has learned and grown from this very positive experience. The uniqueness of this camp is what drew us to it initially. He plans to attend a third time next Summer. RID: 52375
Click to report rating    12/10/18   5     5     5     5     5   My son has learned Military values that he applies at school, home and through out his life. The confidence he has gained is insurmountable. Military Adventure Camp has been a life changer for my son. Military Adventure Camp has helped him decide that he truthly wants to join the Military. He thrives on the structure and discipline. I am forever grateful to the Cadre and the Commander for this opportunity provided to my son. RID: 52374

Click to report rating    6/10/18   1     1     2     1     1   Very dangerous camp. If you are a parent and your teen would like to attend mac please keep this in consideration. I attended the basic training course in 2017. As a 17 year old I did not seem to notice the inconsistency and gross negligence of saftey until i became educated after leaving the camp. I truely did have a great time. Although there was many incidents (sexual assults, live fire in male barracks, many injurys some serious that they refused to get proper assessment for.) I am a certified emt, when they found that out i was put on as the top medical personnel (deal with all sickness, injurys and illegally dispense perscribed medications to cadets) Even though i paid $2500 to attend camp i was unable to fully participate due to them being unprepared for cadets, but i genuinely cared for the kids' saftey that surrounded me. There are other camps like this that are more professional and safe, please dont put your child at risk sending them to this camp RID: 51879

Click to report rating    7/9/17   1     1     1     1     1   AVOID THIS PLACE AND DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE EARLY IF YOU STILL PLAN TO SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! I made the huge mistake of paying $2,700 to these posers a few months before the start of one of the camp sessions. Unfortunately our circumstances changed and my son could no longer attend. I've gotten nothing but the runaround from these clowns. Each time I spoke to a staff member I got yet another assurance that they were going to do the right thing. Then the same song and dance. And each time, the story changed about what they could or couldn't do and why. Ultimately the current joker, Jay Whitehead, disavowed all prior assurances and tells me they just can't give me a refund because they don't have the money, as they are a non-profit organization. Between the revolving door of leadership, the avoidance of any simple straight answer, the appearance of financial distress which would imply corner-cutting of safety issues, I strongly recommend avoiding sending your teen to this "camp". Click to report rating    7/8/17   4     4     5     4     4   Our son attended this camp this summer and wants to return. It was intense but he loved it. The camp grounds are bare bones, but it's what you'd expect for a military program that wants to give a real experience. There are adults running the activities and teen cadets in the leadership program supervise the groups otherwise. My son said he felt safe and was treated well throughout. I asked about the food and he said it was fine and he was never left hungry. Organization/communication needs to be improved for me to give this 5 stars. The negative reviews above seem to me to be similar in tone which makes me wonder if the same person wrote them. My understanding is that the assault issue was at the Millersburg school and not the camp, and the camp is under new leadership since that happened. We would send our son back again with no qualms. Click to report rating    5/27/17   1     1     1     1     1   Very poorly run camp. Little adult supervision. Teens used as instructors. Overpriced and dangerous. DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY OR RISK YOUR CHILDS SAFETY! RID: 50765
Click to report rating    5/20/17   1     1     1     1     1   This facility has a history of assaults including attempted sexual assault! As of March 2017 they carried zero liability insurance and the full time staff had no military experience. It is very expensive and has a very poor reputation! There page has a lot of stolen pictures that present an unrealistic experience! Not the place to send your child to. RID: 50743
Click to report rating    3/2/17   1     1     1     1     1   My son attended one of these camps from this organization. I was astounded by the lack of proper nutrition provided to these kids. They relied on government food subsidies; the kids were constantly starving. A very high instance of non-adult supervision at times. No accountability, for safety. A high lack of military knowledge. I strongly urge anyone and everyone to stay away from this organization!!! RID: 50511
1/16/17   1     1     2     2     1   Who runs this place? We paid alot of money for my son to attend. Never again! Little to no adult supervision, horrid food plan, horrid dorm conditions. Stay away from this overpriced place! RID: 50355
4/25/16   5     5     5     5     5   Wonderful camp! My son talked about the entire trip home. It really helped his decision about joining the Army (he did!) RID: 49556
