My two daughters have been going to this camp since they were both four and love it! They love the different theme every week, the activities, lunches and the swimmers pool! I really enjoyed how the counselors treated my daughters, the easy pick up and drop off system they use and the fact that my kids were happy going to this camp made me happy! Camp Echo Bay is like a second home to our family and I am so please with this camp! Every year it gets better and better!!!! We love you Camp Echo Bay!!

My son has been going to this camp for 5 years now. There has only been 1 incident that I felt was not handle correctly. Another child was bullying him and after days of being pushed around he finally took a swing at the other kid, who promptly "told" on him. And he was accused of bullying the other child. My question was where were the counselors all along while this was going on. Why wasn't anything noticed before it got to that point. Anyway, that was 2 summers ago and there have been no incidents since. All of the counselors know my son by name and treat him as a friend. The pool is great. they have many activities. Yes, to address another posted, it is a Catholic school and camp. The children are expected to take part in the small amount of religious activity. We tried 2 other camps before this one. My son was thrilled when we finally found a camp that had enough activities to interest him.

I called to inquire why are they charging a registration fee? the woman who answered the phone wasn't sure, she said she believes its for insurance purposes?? I don't know of any other camp out there that charge you to register for camp. I can understand a deposit before the start date and balance on or before camp officially starts.. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

VERY POOR COMMUNICATION AND QUICK TO JUDGE CERTAIN KIDS. SOME OF THE COUNSELORS TEXTING TOO MUCH OR DON'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED LISTENING TO A CHILD WHO TELLS THEM HE IS BEING BULLIED. MY SON WON'T BE GOING BACK TO THIS RELIGIOUS CAMP! I DON'T FEEL IT INSTILLS THE VALUES I WANT MY CHILD TO HAVE. ALSO, CHILD ISN'T HAPPY CAMPER SO WHY BOTHER? TAKE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO CAMP TOM OR SQUIRE CAMPS. YOU PAY MORE BUT WILL NOT HAVE THESE PETTY ISSUES THAT CAMP ECHO BAY ALLOWS!

What is extraordinarily disturbing about this camp is their complete reluctance to indicate that all of their campers MUST attend daily chapel and weekly mass...yet neither of those are listed under camp activities on their site. There is no transparency as to the religious messaging they are imposing on the children and there is no option to opt out. Shouldn't everyone be aware of ALL of the activities that take place especially when children are involved? When camp management was directly approached about this, it was met with a shrug of shoulders and a 'promise' to update their site accordingly. 4 weeks later, still not done. DO NOT BE FOOLED...THIS IS A CATHOLIC RELIGIOUS CAMP.
