She has shared with us that she feels very comfortable because all students' ideas are respected. She also likes that students can move on to more advanced levels in the curriculum. How do we know she's learning and having fun? Recently, she began taking a more analytic look at some of her toys . . .what type of sensors might they have, how were they developed, what similarities do they share with each other and with projects she's worked on at camp . . .she thinks robotics is cool, and she really enjoys attending with other kids who include it as one of their varied interests. He felt that this was different from the other robotics classes as this is more hands on. He thoroughly enjoyed the 2 weeks camp he did and cannot wait for this year camp again. The 2 week campers get to continue in a year round program, which further helped to reinforce the things that they learnt in summer. The children were divided into groups and he was in the mechincal engineer and enjoyed building the actual real life solution robot. Mr.Roboto and Ms. Carla are very friendly and know the kids very well. since the group is small we feel that individual attention was given. This has been a fantastic experience for my son. Click to report rating    4/20/17   5     5     5     5     5   My son loved it! We are signing up for the second year in a row. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn about the design, programming, and engineering skills needed to create robots. It gave my son a feeling that he is doing something serious and applicable to real life. A further bonus is the opportunity for campers to continue in a year-round robotics club where participants design and build robots, usually presenting them to a wider audience (this year the kids showcased their assistive robot at the American History Museum's Spark Lab). It was just simply at so much a higher level than anything else around, and I thank my lucky stars that our son met "Mr. Roboto." For the first time, he has really found something which he will be into, white possibly as a career, for the rest of his life in a big way. RID: 50644
Click to report rating    2/14/17   5     5     5     5     5   We first found Infamous Robotics through Arlington County and my son (who was then 8) did a one-day weekend workshop. He loved it and begged to go to the camp. We have done the summer camps two years in a row. As other reviewers have said, they offer so much more than the camps that just use kits. The campers have to use creativity and problem-solving skills. They also have to think about the business side of robotics--how to identify a need, see what others are doing, find parts online, and persuade someone their idea is worth investing in. A great experience all-around. (We also did the school-year Robotics Inventors Club last year, which culminated in a presentation at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum. This year he is in the All-Stars club.) Highly recommended! RID: 50436
Click to report rating    2/13/17   5     5     5     5     5   The best robotics camp ever, my child took lego robotics camps that everybody else offers and found the Infamous Robotics Robotics camps to be more challenging, fun and she learned things in one camp that the other camps never taught her. She loved it and is going back for upper levels RID: 50427
