Click to report rating    3/4/20   3     3     1     1     1   This is a waste of time and money....a scam. They do not live up to their hype. I left the two week medical program after a week. We never had interaction with professors or professionals in the field. We never got to tour a state of the art facility. We sat in dorm buildings being baby sat by undergrad students and learned nothing. I will not recommend this summer program to anyone. RID: 53162
Click to report rating    7/27/19   1     1     1     1     1   It's a SCAM. Total waste of money. The owners are money-grubbing failed "professionals" who know LESS than nothing about actual education. Total waste of money. RID: 52771

4/18/19   5     5     5     5     5   My daughter attended the Blueprint Lehigh summer camp and had an amazing time! She was paired with a roommate with similar interests and they hit it off right away! She is planning on majoring in English so this was a perfect program for her plus it looked great on her college applications! RID: 52571

3/20/19   5     4     5     4     5   I had an absolutely amazing time while at a BluePrint camp. I went to Leigh University and took the Psychology course. Since it was my first time participating in something like this so I only stayed for one week, however, this was a big mistake. I made so many friends and had such a great time that I didn't want to go home. We got to do ice cream socials, tie-dye our tee-shirts, and even go to Hershey theme park. The Psychology course I participated in showed me what a college class would be like and actually showed me how excited I was to participate in something like that. I loved the campus but the freshmen dorm themselves were not that great, but that wasn't BluePrint's fault as the campus provides them. Overall, I had an amazing experience and I would love to have another trip to a new college one day. RID: 52517

3/11/19   5     5     5     5     5   I've been doing everything I can to get my daughter into college prep classes, but I was (and she was) still anxious about actually going to a college. She went to the Blueprint program at UCLA (which was a HUGE step) and loved it! She had so much fun being away from home, getting used to getting around a campus, meeting new people and she also got some good tips on college applications that she hadn't managed to pick up in her regular prep classes. I'd highly recommend it! RID: 52500

3/7/19   5     5     5     5     4   My daughter attended for a week during the summer of 2018. She enjoyed the combination of subject based classes, college readiness, fun activities, and free time. Prior to this program she was unsure about her college plans, upon returning home she immediately registered for dual enrollment for the fall. She made several new friends who she continues to keep in touch with and is planning to attend for two weeks this summer. RID: 52494

3/6/19   5     5     5     5     5   My oldest daughter attended Blueprint at Lehigh last year and had a blast! Courses were well taught, activities were well planned and the staff were awesome. This year, my daughter is going back and bringing her younger sister too. RID: 52492

1/31/19   1     4     2     1     1   My Daughter attended 2 Weeks at UCLA summer of 2018. Of all the summer camps she has attended this was the most expensive by far, it turned out to be the worst camp ever. Disorganized, Understaffed, Low quality staff that do not have depth in the subjects they are teaching. The teacher for a class on Careers in Medicine was a 7th grade teacher. Although on the campus of a World Class teaching hospital there were no guest speakers and no field trips to visit the hospital. We were charged a lab fee for this class which was held in a dormitory conference room and the supplies were duct tape foam and sewing needles to practice sutchering. The College Prep sessions were very basic and not relevant much of the time for my daughters interests in colleges. The camp insisted on managing my daughters medications and although my daughter tried to stay on schedule inspite of their disorganization she received her meds late and missed an entire day . Spend your money elsewhere. RID: 52444

3/26/18   5     5     5     5     5   Staying in the dorms with other students participating in the program is a big plus. The campus was located in an area of the city that had great places to eat, hang out and shop - and the counselors gave us some free time to explore. We primarily ate at the campus dining hall. The classes weren't over bearing, the instructors were nice and I would recommend this camp. RID: 51724

3/22/18   5     5     5     5     4   My son attended the July 2017 program at Lehigh University focusing on engineering. The whole experience was life changing in regards to affirming his commitment to the college application process. It takes a lot to put a fire under him sometimes and this experience was the ticket. It met all of my expectations. It gave him a peek at going off to college without the extreme academic pressure. He was instructed by professionals, lived the dorm life, and was responsible for his own schedule all while six hours from home. All big accomplishments for a 1st born boy. The only negative I heard from him was the college prep day was too long. As an upcoming senior, he had already done a lot of this in high school, which would all be new to younger participants. I recommend the experience. RID: 51717

3/15/18   5     5     5     5     5   I didn't have an expectations of what to expect when I signed up but the program would have exceeded them. I got to experience a few classes from the major I had planned on going to school for and afterwards I decided to switch. That made the whole time there worth it not suffering for a semester or two in a major I didn't want to do. The instructors were pleasant and everyone in my classes seem to enjoy their time there as well. RID: 51706

3/7/18   5     5     5     5     5   My daughter spent the summer at Lehigh University for this program and it was an incredible experience for her. She is normally NOT the child that goes into an environment where she knows no one and thrives, but she had an awesome time during her week. She was paired with a roommate who was similarly shy but also an excellent student and they were a great pair from the start! They quickly found other girls in the dorm and we parents quickly found ourselves not needed there one extra minute. I anticipated a 'midweek ready to come home call' but instead I was calling her and listening to how excited she was about the day. She did the Psychology program and it really expanded her thinking about not only college but careers. She reported a great campus experience, the activities planned were fun and enjoyable. The staff to me appeared young, but they were very knowledgeable and definitely skilled at handling the students. I'd love for her to do another week this summer. RID: 51693

3/7/18   5     5     5     5     4   My son attended an Engineering Blueprints Program at UCLA the summer between his freshman and sophomore year. He had a great experience learning about various kinds of engineering as well as getting a sneak peek at what it is like to live in the dorms and attend classes on a college campus. Between class sessions, my son enjoyed shooting hoops with one of his professors as well as playing games in the lounge with the counselors. The price tag on the experience was a bit of a stretch for us, but it was absolutely worth it and I'd encourage others to participate in a Blueprint program. RID: 51692

2/27/18   1     5     1     1     1   The dorms at UCLA were fine but there are a million programs that house students in dorms. Blueprint is the worst. the staff is a joke. The teachers are just there for a paycheck, most of them are not even college professors or even high school teachers. Our college prep teacher "Q" just told us to google how to write a college essay and put on a powerpoint for an hour with the most obvious info about college. EVERY DAY. The RAs had no activities for us on weekends and during the week all the activities were ice-breakers in the dorm. you never get to leave or go anywhere off campus. they were so disorganized we didn't even get a tour of the campus or meet with any admissions people (which was promised in the program). Total joke. RID: 51676

1/14/18   5     4     5     5     5   We’ve sent our daughter to Blueprint for the past three summers and she absolutely loves it! This year our son in finally old enough and he can’t wait to go for his first time. In our experience, the staff have always been wonderful, the courses were exactly what our daughter wanted, and Blueprint was always attentive and thoughtful. The programs are excellent, but the friends my daughter has made and the families we’ve subsequently met through the programs has been such a warm and welcome surprise. My daughter texts with her friends from previous Blueprint programs all the time and those friends mean the world to her. I can understand that when you’re working with so many families that some might not be happy. But we are very happy with Blueprint and are looking forward to sending both of our kids again this summer! RID: 51581

10/31/17   5     5     4     5     5   This program brought a great amount of context to the college application and selection search for our kids. The course was great (engineering at UCLA) but the bigger take away was that they now feel ready and excited for college. That's a big win for us. Great people, seamless welcome to campus, and while not a flawless program, a real world experience that our kids absolutely benefited from. RID: 51453

10/27/17   5     4     5     5     5   It was a wonderful opportunity for my daughter, going into ninth grade to have a real college experience just for two weeks, excellent classes, great group of students, warm and helpful group of staff, and pretty good dorm accommodations at University of Florida. Would highly recommend. RID: 51450

10/25/17   4     5     3     5     4   Great summer camp! I waited until I was going into my senior year to attend. I wish I would have known about it sooner, as I learned a lot about college and admissions that would have been useful. RID: 51448

10/19/17   5     5     5     5     5   One of my students last year heard about this program and was excited to get into it for the opportunity to take classes in architecture and painting at UCLA. The deadline for financial aid had just passed, and with this student's financial situation it didn't seem like it was going to be a possibility, but I still reached out to Blueprint to see if there was any possibility of it working out. To my surprise and delight, a Blueprint staff member got personally involved and devoted a lot of his time and attention to making sure there was a way for my student to attend. Long story short, it ended up working out, and she had the time of her life. When I checked in with her at the beginning of the school year, she was ecstatic about her experience. She loved the people, the classes, and the experience of living on campus. Her heart is now set on going to UCLA next year because of this program. Can't describe how much of a difference this made for her. Absolutely worthwhile summer program. RID: 51435

10/19/17   5     4     5     5     5   Blueprint checked all the boxes and exceeded expectations. We had two goals for the program. One, to affirm her interest in a particular major and two, to determine whether the school was a good fit for her. Both questions answered in the affirmative. Best bang for the buck that a mother could ask for!! RID: 51434

10/16/17   5     5     5     5     5   This was the best summer experience of my son’s life! He’s done 3 other academic summer programs, but he raves about Blueprint and is carrying the experience into his Senior year. In terms of what we’ve experienced as a family, his knowledge and excitement about the college application process and about finding the perfect college has never been higher. And we could not be happier. We just wanted to thank Blueprint and their staff for this experience! No other program offers the 360 degree view of the transition to college that Blueprint does. We are ecstatic with the results, the experience as a whole, and can’t wait to send his sister this summer! If you’re looking for a program that engages your student academically, helps them prepare socially for the change from high school to college, and lays out a plan for the college application and selection process then we recommend Blueprint 100% for you and your family!  10/12/17   5     5     5     5     5   I signed up for the blueprint program in order to better prepare for life after high school. I went into this program unsure of what to expect. It was pretty nerve wracking the first time we got on campus. But everyone was awesome and understand how it felt. The trips we took were so much fun. During my 2-week stay at the University of Florida, I was able to meet new people and make connections on this beautiful campus. It was truly the best part of my summer! RID: 51416
Click to report rating    10/5/17   1     3     1     1     1   This was a terrible experience for my child. Overall, I rate it D- The pros are: cool to stay in college dorms and go to college dining hall, good practice learning to navigate through UVA campus, and some other nice kids at camp. The cons are: very overpriced, incompetent staff, horrible academic program, insufficient supervision, overal “ghetto” environment. Some examples, my child booked two weeks. For the weekend, she and other campers were left completely alone. There was one planned activity (King Dominion) from Friday through Sunday. The counselors told the kids to got find “something to do in town.” Dinner was pizza, but only 1 slice. If you asked for more, the kids were told to order food delivery. If you didn’t bring your own money to pay for extra food, you were out of luck. Supervision was very minimal. Kids skipped classes with no one checking to see where they are. Boys and girls freely hooked up and spent the nights having sex in each other’s rooms. DO NOT GO!!!! RID: 51398

9/29/17   5     5     5     5     5   My student was apprehensive about leaving home, but this experience was the epitome of what a pre-college camp should be. Nice balance of academics, college readiness and activities. RID: 51382
Click to report rating    9/24/17   2     4     2     2     1   The program does not deliver what it promises. It was an okay experience with a price tag that was way to high. My student was safe, I didn't worry about that but the instruction lacked as did the activity time. I liked the staff, they were just not prepared. Sad because it could have been amazing. RID: 51366

8/15/17   4     5     4     5     5   I loved this experience and will definitely miss every piece of it. Making new friendships and learning new material is something that I deeply cherish. Having this program be the first summer program that I have attended, I feel like it was the right and perfect choice. I know my family and I were trying to find a program that really allows a student to feel like an actual college student and this program did it! It was such a great experience meeting new people from all over the US and even other countries. Not only did I enjoy the program itself, but it reassured me that Lehigh University is college for me RID: 51236

8/10/17   5     4     4     5     5   My daughter was apprehensive about leaving home, but this experience was the epitome of what a pre-college camp should be. The staff made her feel welcome as soon as stepped on campus. Even though she’s typically shy, they made an effort to ensure she was active and getting to know other students. She got to see what it was like to be away from home, living on campus , making new friends and taking Engineering classes. She learned a great deal and feels more prepared for college. Plus, she made some new friendships with students looking at the same colleges she is! I have a son entering 8th grade this year and am very excited to have him attend next summer. RID: 51208

Click to report rating    7/29/17   1     1     1     1     1   WORST NIGHTMARE EVER!! From the moment we arrived it was a disorganized mess. As others have stated they just take your money and provide nothing as stated in their brochure. TOTAL SCAM!! They should not even be in business. Dorms with no wifi (even though I know the school has it in this dorm) No use of facilities on campus, no planned activities. My kids did not stop texting me that kids were already leaving on the second day because it was so horrible. I repeatedly tried calling to get some answers and only only got a series of answering machines and nasty callbacks. They have no main business office to call. There is no educational component and no "college readiness" seminars. They were supposed to go off site to do a ropes course and team building which I signed a waiver for but that never happened. The kids just sit around in a lounge doing nothing. They also charge parents $99 each way for airport transport for an $11 UBER This fraud company needs to be exposed. UFL RID: 51121
Click to report rating    7/6/17   1     4     1     1     1   DO NOT ATTEND OR SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS HELL. Waste of money and time. This "college program" keeps students locked up in their dorm rooms for the majority of the day. Despite their helicopter attitudes toward keeping students indoors at all times they staff are completely unorganized and have no idea what they are doing. I personally traveled from the opposite coast for this program and was not able to see anything but my dorm, the dining hall, and my classroom. I was left behind on the one trip off campus and was reprimanded for attempting to join my group before they left since I exited the dorm without a supervisor to run to my group. Blueprint false advertises themselves as a college experience because they use a college campus but that is all they do. Wasted valuable money on a completely invaluable experience. We were not even given the opportunity to tour the campus as the instructors couldn't figure out how to use a map to take the students around. This was at UCLA. RID: 50933
