I’ve never wasted a larger sum of money in my life. Sent my daughter here. Looking back I wish I would have taken the $10,000 (probably much more now) and threw it into a fire. The heat produced would have been more of a benefit. PLEASE I beg you do not make the same mistake I did! PLEASE listen?! If I personally knew anyone who was even thinking of going here, I would take the extra effort and do whatever I could to convince them otherwise. They will tell you that you can get so much money back if you do this AND that, and health ins (blah blah) DON’T DO IT!

6 weeks. Aftercare program non existent. Wonderful family weekend though. Daughter was subjected to racial slurs, and director did not even acknowledge email mentioning this post camp. Relies on low fat diet but a lot of processed food. Not worth the money.

Wellspring is an absolute waste of time and money. They have no supervision. They make a good impression the day that you drop your child off--but--it ends there. They are a very unprofessional camp. My daughter had a terrible time.

They treated my niece terribly. They attract kids that are emotionally weak and prey on them and their parents. My niece lasted 3 days. When she said the camp wasn't a good fit they told her to pack her bags, and then left her in a hall on the floor for 4 hours waiting for her mom, humiliated. They messed with her head emotionally.Having trouble with getting monies back. Don't send your kid here! Their business plan must be to find troubled children and prey on them and their parents

We wanted to do the right thing by our overweight depressed teen,
We paid $9,000.00 for a six week camp,
Our child returned home from camp after less than 72 hours,
They are keeping our $9,000.00 without the opportunity for discussion or return to camp,
Is this part of an unethical predatory business model?

I lost 26lbs. This was the best thing I have ever done for myself. The staff and the campers are amazing. This program helped me discover things about myself that I never dreamed of. If you need help with weight go to WNY

My daughter is 12 and attended the 8 week camp. She loved every minute of it. The food was good (which I found out myself when I went for a visit after 4 weeks), and she loved the activities...even the 3 mile morning walk. The staff was very friendly, however, I do wish there was direct contact between counselors who knew the day to day actities and the parents. There are things that could use a little improvement, but overall the experience was wonderful. We wrote tons of letters and sent her pictures to hang on the wall in her dorm. It made being away from home for so long easier. The camp is expensive, but worth it in the long run. My daughter lost 38 lbs and 6 pants sizes while at camp. She's overjoyed and so are we! She's home and lost another 8 lbs so far. My entire family is following the program and losing weight. My daughter has learned a new way of life and her focus is no longer food. Your child has to want to go to this camp. It doesn't work if they don't want to be there.

This camp really helped me with my weight. I lost some weight while i was there and learned how to keep it of once i returned home. but the activities suck and you have no freedom and a lot of the kids there are bratty and immature. Every morning we went on a 3 mile walk at 7 in the morning, which sucked. You also have to be good and write a report on how your life has changed if you want to be able to call home. also, no electronics. The camp is like a dictator ship. Color war is horrible, but the last week is fun. It is better than any other weight loss camp, for loosing, but not for having fun. You may be miserable and there are not many counsler. The bc program is very smart, but you rarely see them. Instead of going to the camp, excercise, get 10000 steps a day and stay under 1400 calories a day and under 20 grams of fat.

camp wellspring really helped me alot when it came to my weight. im much more confident with my self image. but wellspring also did something more than just improve my "outsides". living with 12 girls for 4-8 weeks really teaches you alot. im a totally different and better person after wellspring, it was certainly a life changing expreience. while you are at the camp, you may not think of it that way, but after you leave, you miss all of the girls and really appreciate all of the work that you put yourself through over those previous 4-8 weeks. i would defiante reccomend camp wellspring to someone who wants to make an improvement in their life and who wants to take a huge step towards long term weight control.
