This is a fantastic place to send your son. One of the last of the "old timey" camps...very private, relatively small...they are very careful with their selection of Counselors (all former Campers). If you're looking for a place where "sportsmanship" is still taught, this is the place. No cell phones, no video games... just interaction with each other and a shared experience that lasts a lifetime. We need more places like this. The owner's family started this Camp in 1928...and they still run it! They do all the stuff...horseback, ropes, white water, hiking, canoeing, riflery, archery, wood shop...all of it...But the attention as to what Staff are in the cabins with the boys is what sets this camp apart. I can't say enough nice things about this place...the people, the campus (400 acres... beautiful), the program...people who actually care! I trust my son with them...and am thrilled every time I pick him up...need I say more?

This camp changed my sons life! What a fantastic place with fantastic people who really do CARE. He was shy and without a lot of friends. He came back with confidence like I've never seen and now he can't wait to go back....and I can't either. I am so happy for him. Absolutely wonderful...and the place is gorgeous. The Counselors are sooooooo nice. My son knew all of the Counselors and they all knew him...very personal and he loved them all. Some of my friends told me about LMC and told me it was great, but I had no idea how special this place was. I guess after doing it for so long they really now what they are doing because my son got a LOT more out of it than just having a blast. I can't even begin to explain it...I am so happy I found this camp!

LMC is a great traditional southern boys camp. The staff were awesome and the location is beautiful.
