I am at this camp right now for the first time. I like it! Here's what to expect: This is a camp that ONLY pianists can go to. In order to register you have to send the camp a video of your piano playing and they have to accept it. This is a sleepaway camp at the college of Oberlin, Ohio. I have minor complaints and then good things to say. Unfortunately, in the hotels (dorms), the rooms get very hot and you can purchase a fan for $10 but it still feels hot. You get used to it. You have to take 2 classes of not interesting music theory for 30 minutes each. Those are my only complaints. At Cooper, everyone has 3 private piano lessons with teachers from Oberlin that the camp will assign you. If you want more lessons, you can sign up for a teacher of your choice but it will start costing you some money. The best thing is that most of your time is spent practicing and hanging out with friends. I made a ton of friends here in only 4 days. Send your child here, they'll have a great time!
