When you hear " Parent free zone " when I can't call my daughter and talk to her or even visit her over the weekend..... well NIGHTMARE!!!!

I was ten when I first attended Camp Woodstock. Little did I know CW would become a second family. I went on to attend camp for many a summer...well versed in every Woodstock cheer, abundant in friendship feathers, countless friendships and oodles of memories...twenty years later, my eldest daughter attended CW for the first time...life changing. The kindness of counselors - feeling as tho she had a genuine group of people that truly cared about her, kept her returning. Her siblings soon followed suit..."best pond for swimming ever Mom!"...as a single mom of three kids, Camp Woodstock is home and all those affiliated with it are family. Each summer they embrace my kiddos as their own and help them grow to be their best selves. The personal attention is like no other. As is Camp Woodstock itself.

I went to Camp Woodstock for 7 summers and can honestly say they were some of the best summers of my life. The counsellors are wonderful and make every child feel important, special, and welcome. They make camp fun for everyone. There are so many different activities and opportunities to try new things. I made some of my best friends at this camp and to this day keep in contact with them on a regular basis. The CHoRR values shaped me as a person not only at camp but in my everyday life. I carry them with me where ever I go. If you want your child to have a magical summer full of fun and laughter, YMCA Camp Woodstock is the #1 place I would recommend. This camp changed me forever and made me a better person. I am forever great full for the time I was able to spend here and when my summer camp days finally camp to an end, it was heartbreaking. But once a Woodstocker, always a Woodstocker.

I have two girls who started going to this camp 7 years ago and have gone every year since. They absolutely LOVE it! There is a great variety of fun activities during the day, but they particularly enjoy the camp-wide evening activities. They have made life-long friends that they stay in touch with throughout the year. They have found camp to be a wonderfully freeing place, where they can just be themselves. They staff members are very committed and instill the CHoRR values of camp (caring, honesty, respect and responsibility). The counselor training program is highly selective and rigorous, resulting in well-trained counselors who work to keep all kids in a cabin involved in the group with positive energy. I highly recommend this camp!

My daughter started going to this camp when she was 9 and my son started when he was 8. They've gone each and every year since. This summer will be my daughter's 9th year and my son's 7th! Each year, I've watched them grow more confident, more responsible, and more mature because of the great camp experience they have had. The CHoRR values are truly alive (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility) and are modeled by the staff as well as the campers. This is a camp that truly develops their mind, body and spirit. My daughter will be a junior counselor this year. She went through their Leader-in-Training (LIT) program, their Counselor-in-Training program (CIT). She says next to home, she's happiest at camp and that the LIT year was one of the best experiences of her life-challenging, reflective and overall wonderful. My son looks forward to it next year, provided he is accepted. I cannot recommend this camp enough! The staff is phenomenal and the setting is classic american summer camp!

THIS camp has gone DOWNHILL. Nasty kids, foreign kids who have no manners and speak/swear in their language at other kids, inattentive foreign counselors who are just working it to get a gig in the US, and worn out facilities. This was the WORST experience my kids ever had and we had to contact the camp and tell them that our kids were not being treated well by the low lifes that are allowed in. Does not draw from a good population. I guess you get what you pay for. May be cheaper than other camps, but not worth it. My daughter cried over the mistreatment of her brother and sent letters home saying that other kids noticed it too. BAD BAD CAMP.

it was the time of my life. nobody could have had a better time than i did it was so amazing! Did you know that Chelsea and Alyssa are the coolest Cabin #19 summer of 06 wow great times!
