Camp Blue Ridge reviews

My daughter and I absolutely love this camp! We are impressed by the great counselors, campus, things to do, how low the camper to counselor ratio is, and how all of this is such a great price! By NOT sending your child to this camp, you are having them miss out on an adventure of a lifetime. In a nutshell, this is the best camp you can find. Please send your daughter to the camp where "Making memories that last a lifetime" is what they do everyday. It is what I did and both of us will benefit from that decision.

My girls can't wait to go back summer after summer. If you are researching camps, and suffering through the stress of figuring out where your child will go, CBR is absolutely the right choice! I don't regret my decision for a second! WE LOVE BR

CBR is my lyfee no doubt about the people who are saying nasty crap about CBR are nuts its is my favorite palce in the entire world i made my best friends there this summer will be my 4th summer the counslers are extremely fun and responsible so dont listen to those stupid comments about cbr it is the best place in the world!!! ???

camp blue ridge is my life! i totally live eat and breath camp blue ridge! the girls in my group are my life long friends and i keep in touch with a huge majority of them. Kadetts 2009 pc 2013 i will keep coming back to blue ridge for ever and ever. there is nothing that i love more than camp blue ridge. the long island girls are not japs and mean! some of my bffls are from long island this camp totaly looks after you and the camp can handle everything. this scale is inacurate beccause cbr is better than good. The songs are amazing and at coler war sing and the last day of camp if you arent crying you dont get camp. i cant wait to be back with my bunkmates in january at the reunion. bunk 3 07 bunk 10 08 kaddets 2009 4 ever HOLLA! see you all in January and June!

My daughter attended this camp over this past summer. What a mistake. I was disgusted to hear about how the girls ran wild and were really not supervised as we were led to believe. I was under the impression that the counselors were mature and experienced. Wrong Again!!! One of them was a girl right out of high school, how much experience could she really have? My daughter told me stories about all the mean things that were allowed to go on between the campers with the counselors knowledge. There aren't enough words to express how disappointed we were with our decision to send her. NEVER AGAIN!!!

CAMP BLUERIDGE IS THE BEST PLACE ON EARTH. PEOPLE WHO DONT GO THERE DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE MISSING OUT ON. THE COUNSLERS ARE SOO SUPPORTIVE AND DEAL WITH BULLIES (IF THERE ARE ANY). THIS WILL BE MY 7TH SUMMER AT CBR AND EACH ONE GETS BETTER EVERY YEAR. BLUERIDGE IS AMAZINGG. THE ACTIVITIES ARE FUN AND THERE ARE NO BUGS AND MICE. THE FOOD ISNT GREAT BUT IT DOESNT MATTER BECAUSE CAMP IS SO MUCH FUN!

Camp Blue Ridge is AMAZING!!! - Or i should say- " My 'Happy' Place" CBR= AWESOME!!

Blue Ridge rocks! It is so much fun. At Blue Ridge, you don't pick all of your activities, which is good because it encourages you to try new things. The counselors are nice and helpful. The facilities and activities are amazing. And I <3 the new pool!

Camp is ah-mazing! This is going to be my second summer, and already it feels like a second home. I love camp!!!

blue ridge is the best camp in the world! you are never bored and all the girls, counselers and directors are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. i cant waitto go back for my second summer!

this is my 3rd year in camp and i love it so much and it is not true that the food sucks and the counslors are mean they are sometimes so nice you have to go to the camp to know.

Blue Ridge is a great camp! Because I came to camp going into 6th grade (kadette) with only three other people, everyone had already made friends. Nevertheless, I fit in great! I do not know what everyone is talking about when they say the LI people are japs, because I come from South Jersey and they were extremely nice to me. When you are homesick at Blue Ridge, the wonderful counselors make you feel better right away. I am not athletic, but at this camp, I was still allowed to participate unlike my day camp. The food is just fine, and I have never seen a rat in the bunk, or a bug in the shower. I strongly reccomend sending your child(ren) to this camp.

camp blue ridge is horible!!! all the girls there torcher u about ur weight or how u dress!!! the food sux, there r no hot guys and worst of all there r rats and mice!!! if u r looking 4 camps 2 go 2 take blue ridge ( A.K.A JAP CENTRAL)off the list!

This place is the most unbelievable place that i have ever been to in my life. I have been a camper for seven summers, and i have meet my best friends in the entire universe here. It is the most incredible experience. Because i chose camp blue ridge i have been changed. Everything about camp is amazing. I count down the days untill next summer when i can be with my best friends, at the place i love. Camp Blue Ridge is the most amazing place in the entire world. No camp has tradition and legacy like this camp. The spirit is incredible. It is not like anything i have experienced or will experience in my entire life.

This camp is amazing!!! This was my first summer and I loved it. Whoever said this camp is full of japs... thats ur preference. The girls do come from long island and maybe they do have lots of stuff, but i know i wasnt influenced by my bunk. The girls are really sweet. The food may not always be great, but thats what camping is. Blue ridge isnt a camp where you get air conditioning and ice creams shops, this camp is about making memories (good) that last a lifetime.

This camp is amazing! the activities are so much and i love my bunk! it will be my 4th summer and every thing about it is fun. some people at camp are mean, but thats true for every camp. the bunks are clean and the food is okay.i love it!!!! Camel 18 4 eva!!

Camp Blue Ridge is a wonderful camp full of tradition, spirit and friendship. The staff returns year after year, is well trained and responsive to the needs of the children and their families. The facility is continually updated and excellent instuction is offered in every area. The owners and directors are hands on and very involved with the running of the camp, as well as interaction with campers and their families. I would give this camp the highest recommendation.

I went to cbr for one summer. I absolutely hated it. The girls in my bunk were not nice and were all japs. I found very few friends there that are nice and i still talk to a little with. The camp is nice but the people are rude and obnoxious. Most people there are long island JAPs. None know the true meaning of being at a sleepaway camp and being nice. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID THERE UNLESS THEY ARE SPOILED BRATS.

blue ridge is the best camp in the entire world....people who dont go to any ca,p come here it is the best place on earth...most amazing times of my life...my 1st home !!! 10 months for 2 babbyyyy! no words can explain this camp. its my second home and i love it! this year is going to be my 7th year. i advice this camp to everyone! this camp is special because its different and it's history is always in mind while there. Its camp, everyone fights but you realize that not a lot of camps create magic stonds bonds between us campers that make us feel like we we're long lost sisters

This camp is incredible. There isn't a day that goes by during the school year that I don't think of camp. It is truly an unbelievable place and I cherish every moment I can spend there. To the comments about the LI girls: the reason they seem the meanest is because there are the most of them. Therefore, they also may be the nicest.I love cbr!

My daughter, who is not from LI just completed her first summer at CBR. She had a wonderful experience. There was a wide array of activities to choose from. The staff, including the director were extremely responsive to my daughter's needs as well as my own. We look forward to many more enjoyable summmers at CBR.

My daughter is nearing the end of her first summer at CBR, and has had the best experience of her life there. The staff could not be more accomodating, professional or first-rate. There was one "LI girls" issue in the beginning of the summer that was nipped in the bud, and things have been perfectly fine since. The bunks are clean and well-ventilated - I'm really surprised by some of the comments to the contrary. Bugs? It's camp...what do you expect?!

My daughter has been at CBR for 4 years. It has not been an easy road. Two bullies. Many of the girls are from LI and the mean girls always seem to come from LI...why is that? The camp's tolerance of bullying is really unacceptable. Kids needs to be told if they're mean or obnoxious to other girls, they're going to be sent home. Other camps seem to handle this situation better.

I love CBR. I had a few problems with girls, but i loved the camp so much and my counselors helped me through everything. Now, i love my bunk and my group. We are going to have an amazing PC summer 07!! Choose this camp...you wont regret it! After a day, wou fell like you've been there your entire life. the staff makes it so much fun and there are so many varied activites to partake in. CBR is for all people, and i strongly suggest it because it is all i can think about doing in the summer!

Camp Blue Ridge is my favorite place in the world. the counselors are amazing and so are the directors. I love it!

Let me start off by saying that this is the best camp ever...Nothing bad should be said about it.. I think about camp every single day of my life and i made friends that will be in my life forever. Sheryl and Richie are the most amazing people and they care soooo much about every singe kid and counslor no matter what. Everymorning i wake up and say that i am one more day closer to camp. The camp is in a beautiful location with lots of stuff to do. They are constantly adding activities and the girls appear to be very busy. The uniform idea is fantastic and makes life much easier. The only problem is there is to many girls from long island who tend to mean and clicky. The meaness is tolerated and the girls are not asked to leave for bad behavior. The camp owner is extremely attentive and kind. She tries very hard to take care of problems immediately Some of the bunks need to be replaced and it appears that they will be overtime.

this camp was ok but camp kinder ring is sooooooooooo much better. i would choose camp kr over this place in a second.!!!
