The best experience of my life. Sang for Eden Espinoza, Jenn Colella, and many more, and got fantastic tips from them! I probably improved more in one week @ BAA than I have in the past year. Besides, that, it was heaven for a musical theater buff--8 hours straight of training from the best of the best, while being surrounded by the best of the best (who, by the way, are extremely nice, fun people, and not at all spoiled or artificial). Made lots of friends who share so many interests with me (mainly the desire to be on Broadway)! Jen is such an inspiring and positive person, and made me feel completely comfortable and welcome. Some of the staff have already been on Broadway (that's always a fun conversation), and the ones who haven't are equally as amazing. I attended Session 3, with the Symphony Space performance culmination, and the vocal coaches that help you prepare for your solo are so fun, uplifting and encouraging. Overall, the best opportunities for an aspiring Broadway star!
BAA in New York couldn't have been better! I went to 3 weeks this summer and couldn't recommend it more highly. I cried when I had to leave back home to Arizona. Best summer of my life! And performing at Symphony Space at the end on Broadway in the middle of NYC and for so many agents, Broadway people and casting directors was so exciting! I made so many friends including Broadway stars that told me to always go to the stage door to visit them after their shows! I will go back every year until I am too old for them to accept me! If you love musical theater and think you want to do it professionally, this camp is the real deal and will teach you SO much!
I met great friends, got a NY agent, convinced my parents this is what I should be doing! Met Christian Borle and Alice Ripley (and many more of my favorite stars!) Eden Espinoza told me I had an awesome voice! Saw Newsies, Bring it On, and Peter and the Starcatcher and met the cast! The staff was awesome, I now know someone in every Bway show and I got to spend 2 weeks in NYC! MY LIFE IS COMPLETE!
I discovered TBE this year and enrolled my child and he literally had the time of his life. I was very happy to drop him off at Lincoln Center every morning as we had to check in with security to even get into the building. The faculty were made up of amazing Broadway artists, many of whom we have seen on stage. The reason my son enjoyed this program so much was because he was challenged in every area. He loves to do it all so I was very happy with the emphasis of the program, triple threat. Well done TBE and I very much look forward to signing him up next year.
Best camp i have ever been to! i reallly love it! Great for people who like theater; singing, dancing, etc.. reallly.. go check out the website. You get to meet real broadway celebs at camp! and we go see a show.
