Each summer the children put on a dance show for the camp. This is something both the children and counselors look forward to from day one of camp. As they prepare their dance number, the children are also responsible for creating their hats for the show during their designated Art periods. The Hat Masquerade is an honored tradition of Camp Floradan!
Together with the Floradan Board of Directors, Liz and her leadership team are dedicated to honoring the best of Camp Floradan traditions while embracing new opportunities for growth. With continued upgrades to our facilities and a team approach that fosters community, 2026 promises to be another exciting season at Camp Floradan.
We run a 7-period structured schedule consisting of a combination of 2 swim periods and any of the activities listed above. Daily themes are incorporated into each group's schedule. Sample schedule: 1st Period: Kickball · 2nd Period: Swim Instruction · 3rd Period: Arts and Crafts · 4th Period: Lunch · 5th Period: GaGa Ball · 6th Period: Soccer · Snack · 7th Period: General Swim.
Groups 1–4 welcome campers ages 5 to 12, offering a full mix of classic camp fun and new adventures. From team sports on our ball fields to creative projects in arts & crafts and dance, campers also explore nature hikes, yoga, mindfulness, drumming, and fishing. With themed weeks, Color War, and plenty of time to make lifelong friends, each day brings a balance of play, discovery, and growth in a safe, supportive environment.
