Daily life — Bible Exploration, 45 minutes with counselor and cabin group
Bible Exploration is one of the most important things we do at Camp Cherith. Campers spend 45 minutes each weekday studying God's word with their counselor and cabin group. Campers do a personal devotional each morning called "Morning Watch" that follows the same theme as the Bible Exploration curriculum.

Camper voice — homesickness at camp
"Some campers worry about being homesick," says Maran, an 11-year-old Cherith camper, "but you're so busy at camp that you just forget all about it because you're having such a great time. And at night you don't worry because you're so tired from your busy day that you fall right to sleep!"
Setting — 280 acres near Detroit Lakes with two lakes
Camp Cherith resides on 280 stunning acres of lakes, woodlands, and rolling hills. Beautiful Lake Six provides a clean and safe environment for our waterfront activities, and Schram's Lake offers a majestic backdrop for morning devotions, outdoor chapel services, canoeing, and hanging out with friends.
Campers are taught how to make Christ real in every phase of their lives while participating in traditional camp activities, focusing on fun, learning new skills, building friendships, and enjoying nature.
Lasting impact — leadership development through CILT and BILT
Camp Cherith offers leadership training for both girls and boys. The program for girls is called CILT (Campers in Leadership Training) and for boys it is called BILT (Boys in Leadership Training). Both are two-year programs for campers who've completed tenth grade and want to develop leadership skills with an emphasis on spiritual growth. It is an intensive commitment, including the planning and implementation of various camp activities, reading and teaching assignments, and finally a week of actual staff experience on site.
Also includes BILT 1 and 2. Ages 7–18 by August 31 (19-year-olds who are graduating from high school also eligible). Sweat and Serve option available at $250.

Daily life — spiritual schedule throughout the day
Every morning there is a time set aside to read the Bible on their own, and later in the day there will be times of group worship, prayer, spiritual messages, and reflection to assist campers in growth in their relationship with Christ.
Food — homemade meals, family style, accommodates dietary needs
Most meals are served family style, which means everyone sits down and serving dishes are passed around the table. Each meal offers variety and no two meals are the same, so even the picky eaters are sure to find something they like. Cherith has a reputation for serving really good homemade meals. Please indicate any special dietary needs on the special diets form in the camper registration system.
