Camp Ramah Berkshires reviews

Best camp ever!!! Ignore all bad comments because I have gone there for 5 years, and they have been the best summers of my life. The counselors are friendly, and the food is great.

BEST CAMP IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. I LOVE IT. IT IS MY SECOND HOME. I DONT KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT IT. IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE IT AN 100000000000000000 STAR RATING.

My two kids went to Ramah Berkshires this Summer (2011), their third and probably final year with Ramah (even though they are young). Why? 1) They aren't any more interested in Judaism and both say they didn't participate in any Jewish activities; 2) They report lots of cursing and inappropriate talk and behavior for ten year olds, even in the presence of counselors; 3) The camp is sports-oriented -- basketball, tennis, etc. and neither of my kids are into organized sports, thus were excluded from many activities. If you have pretty mainstream kids with mainstream interests (like sports) and some Jewish inclination, it's a great camp. If not, there are undoubtedly Jewish camps with less prayer and sports, which would be better choices.

BEST CAMP EVER! This camp is like my second home. The staff is amazaing and your counselors become your best friends! The facilities are good.... The activities are fun! And most importantly you make the best friends!!!!

This camp is a great camp. I've been there for 3 years now, and I absolutely LOVE it. You can make great friends, and I've already made plenty of friends, even if you are not popular.

Good camp. I am not part of the "popular clique" (very cliquey camp) but I still enjoy it. Chug is the best- especially softball. Probably not the greatest camp ever, but I am enjoying myself and would recommend it

this camp was horrible. every single meal i ate there gave me a belly ache. the faculty did not care that i was home sick and payed more attention to the campers that were happy with the camp then the ones that were upset. i wrote letters home every day saying how much i hated camp. i even had a count down for how many days left of camp there were until i get to go home. a tree fell down on our bunk because of a lightning storm and the girls in my bunk blamed it one me because they were all horrible people and thought that my luck had something to do with it. its a very jappy and stuck up camp and i would never send my child there when i am older. however i must say the campus is beautiful.

best camp everr in the world u make amazing friens and the highlight of every year 4 me skool and camp and vacations is camp ramah berkshires. the food isnt great but not bad and the counselors r amazing. the sports r not great but sometimes if ur kids a huge athlete he can find some kids from other age groups 2 play with. everybody m akes amazing memories

okay first off this camp has nothing to do with usy fyi I love this camp i am not a jap or extremely rich but i come back year after year. yeah me and my friends act silly but we are not excluded. no one is. i love this camp my parents met here and i love it. yeah its jewish but its the most amazing experience of my life. i have made friends that I KNOW will last a LIFETIME!!<333333 I LOVE CAMP RAMAH!

The camp is great! I have been going for six summers, and can't wait to go back next year. I have never been to encampment, but the actual camp is great and basically has nothing to do with USY. I LOVE RAMAH BERKSHIRES!

OMG camp ramah is the best camp in the whole world..i dont understand the other comments..they are wrong! it is such an amazing place to be and all the people there are like your family by the end of the summer! i made friends there that will last a life time..i count down the days every year..they are the best! everyone there is amazing and so nice! camp ramah in the bershires is not for "japs" i love this camp more than anything! my parents met there when they were only ten. Some of the staff members are really wonderful people and I became very close to them. Some of them are awful. Ramah Berkshires is a place to go if you are a wealthy jew. I had a really bad experience there and I don't hold it against any one. It can be a great camp if you fit in but if you are alternative in any way or you don't have a lot of money then look somewhere else.

ok,what cna i say?? this camp is my life. it is my home away from home. its crazy hopw much fun u cna have an di count down the days until i can be in camp again. the peole and memories there will always last froever. I LOVE CAMP RAMAH<33333333

Omg! i loove this camp soo much.it is my second home. i am obseesed. anyone who doesnt like this camp is crazy. i have made memroies and friends that will last for ever. there is soo much to do there and sooo many fun peple. CAMP RAMAH IS AMZING.. CANT WAIT TILL SUMMER 0'8!! AHHHHHHH!

This camp is for the rich jappy kids. I found that if you act a bit goofy, dress differently, or do anything slightly out of what they deem to be "ordinary" then you get excluded. A lot of them do not know the meaning of families with a medium sized income, if you can't afford something they think you are bizarre. The counselors are willing to listen but when it comes down to it they don't want anything to do with you.

This camp was the worst camp ever. Wendy and the rest of the staff killed USY. I was yelled at constantly for nothing and was told i couldn't call my own mom. It's like a prison. I hated this camp and will never ever go back to ramah, or anything USY related for that matter.

This camp really isnt that great unless you are a Jap, because it is really clique-ey. People, not just girls can be real b*****s to you, especially if you look or dress any different than you do. Most campers who enter after the first few years are intentionally excluded from even the not "popular" groups. Most of the staff is pretty nice, but not too caring, except the councillers. Most of the bunks have vermon or bugs of some sort, and are in eh, condition. The food sucks, but there are a lot of competitive sports that are taken seriously. You can go to Ramah Darom for about the same price, and that camp is seriously better. I also have no idea what they are talking about when they say community, because you are only a part of the "community" if you are popular. All in all, I would give this camp a 2.5 average on a scale of 1-5. Not for everyone.

it is the best camp in the whole wide world! this coming year is my 4th year the other year i only went for 1 month but this time i'm going for 2 i'm so excited but kinda scared but i know it will be fun becuase it always is the staff is so nice and out going i give this camp the highest rating! PLEASE COME TO CAMP IT WILL BE SO FUN! BEST CAMP IN THE WORLD!!! Ramah rox!

Ramah is my second home... i count down the day. anyone who gives Berkshires under a four is totally wacko! it has been the best five summer of my life. I don't know what i would do without the friends I have made there! Bogrim 07 i absolutely adore you!

Ramah is the best camp i have ever been to. The last two summers I have gone to Ramah have been the best summers of my life and I am looking foward to continuing my ramah experience. I love Ramah in the Berkshires!!!

keep in mind...i went to encampment for 9 days...not the full camp...it was freaken awesome...bunk 5 rocks see you in 2007!!! robbie is the coolest counsler...best time of my life...adam, rich, scott, marisa, mickey, lauren, holly, taylor u guys rule...sorry if i forgot anyone...it's holly's fault we met each other

The trouble with Ramah is that it operates like the motor vehicle bureau. You can't talk to anyone who's in charge. And when you do, you find that they are not interested in your concerns. I will not send my child there next year.
