TENTMAKERS — founding, history, and 40+ years of training
TENTMAKERS was established in 1977. Skills-based, Christ-centered leadership training has become a hallmark of TENTMAKERS and a great compliment to traditional academic schooling. Participants learn in a Christ-centered team-led environment from the modeling, discovery and practice of time-tested principles. The most successful results have occurred when people participate in 40 days of training followed by coaching for one year or more. The results have been genuine life change with increased productivity, intentionality, and others-focus; stronger leadership, deeper relationships, and more Christ-centeredness.
TENTMAKERS — curriculum built on 12 leadership and discipleship skill sets
TENTMAKERS provides experiences that equip and empower you with twelve life-giving character-building skill sets. The curriculum for our courses has been developed and tested over 40 years to equip and empower participants with training in skill set areas including: relational skills, communication, motivation, personal management, organizational management, decision making, learning and thinking, wisdom seeking, following Jesus, worldview, ministry, and entrepreneurial skills.
There are 18 cabins at Wilderness North. Each cabin has a double bed, woodstove, rocking chair, warm blankets, pillows, a table, chair, and lanterns. These cabins are named after the 12 disciples of Jesus and 6 Old Testament historical figures.
