Each morning, campers will rotate through different activities with their cabins so that all campers have the best chance of experiencing all the activities we have to offer. Activities include archery, wall/challenge course, pool, arts & crafts, lake, low ropes, indoor games, and outdoor games. In the afternoons, campers are given a time to select which optional activity they would like to do. Optionals are much less structured, and our staff and campers get to be a little more creative with their activities — things like Slip 'n Slide Kickball, Tie Dye, Leather Working, Nature Walks, and Gaga Ball.

Staff Commissioning — 100th summer tradition begun in 2024
We began blessing our staff as they begin their summer just last year in 2024 during our 100th summer of Camp Weed. We hope this tradition will continue on for many years to come and continue to be a special opportunity for our staff to return home each summer.
Camp staff is made up of Leadership Staff, Program Staff, Cabin Staff, and Kitchen Staff. Cabin Counselors, with a co-counselor, will be responsible for the safety and well-being of up to 16 campers in their cabins. The Head Lifeguard is responsible for all pool and lake activities, including organizing pool activities, free swims, and night swims. The Challenge Course Coordinator oversees both the high ropes and low ropes courses during all activities, ensuring that all safety measures are being followed and that equipment is being stored properly.
Our Counselor-in-Training Program is designed to help rising 10th-12th graders develop and grow their leadership skills and give them a glimpse of what it's like to be a counselor. CITs will live in a cabin of up to 15 campers and 2 staff members. They will get to practice what they've learned by leading activities, providing support to campers, leading devotions, and more. All participants will receive 40 hours of community service credit for each week they serve as a CIT.
Every evening and most afternoons, all campers participate in all camp games and activities. These events change each week and each summer and are done as a whole camp. Some of these events include: Camp Weed 500, Counselor Hunt, Alien, Talent Show, Weed Wide Olympics, Water Carnival, and Cabin vs. Cabin Games.
